"I was sitting by myself at a table," she recalled. "Ruston played his first song, and I was just stunned by everything in it — the words, the melody, what he was saying. I was just sitting at this table, crying." When he was done, she went up and introduced herself and gave him her digits, saying that she really wanted to write with him.
She added that, when they eventually linked up to collaborate, they couldn't stop talking. Musgraves said that the ensuing relationship changed how she experienced life. It seemed like they were meant to be, except for one thing — both Instagram posts are deleted as of this writing, causing some fans to think a breakup is imminent. They also deleted other photos of each other — Kelly's Insta only goes back to 2018, but Musgraves' traces back to before she met her husband, which possibly means she went through and just deleted pics of him. They were also spotted together in New York City in February 2020, per Hollywood Life.
