Inside Kendra Wilkinson's Surprising New Job

In the celeb world, industries tend to overlap. Singers double as actors, and musicians cameo on the big screen. But it's not often that you hear of stars dabbling in something outside of the arts as their career choice — but not every celebrity is Kendra Wilkinson.

Truth be told, only a few others stand out in more recent memory. Mara Wilson, for example, who featured in Mrs. Doubtfire, gained fame for her performance in Matilda, and then went on to become a professional writer. Kevin Jonas, who barely needs an explanation as the eldest Jonas Brothers heartthrob, became a home builder and contractor during the band's hiatus in the early 2010s. Then there's Dylan Sprouse, whose fame as a child actor on The Suite Life of Zack & Cody settled down once he became a brewery owner in New York.

Latest to be added to the list, however, is Wilkinson herself. Well known as an American television personality, she's famous for appearing in the reality television series The Girls Next Door, Kendra, and Kendra on Top, but has also published books like Sliding Into Home and Being Kendra: Cribs, Cocktails and Getting My Sexy Back. With an impressive net worth of $6 million already under her belt, perhaps "getting her sexy back" means adding yet another profession to her resumé...

Kendra Wilkinson's getting ready to slide into people's homes

While Kendra Wilkinson is already known as a popular TV personality, author, and businesswoman — she's now also an employed real estate agent. In early July 2020, the multi-talent made the exciting announcement that she was officially the newest employee at The Agency. According to People, this "luxury real estate" firm is owned by the husband of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' star Kyle Richards, Mauricio Umansky.

Wilkinson shared the news on Twitter by posting a screenshot of an Instagram comment from Umanksy, which read, "Welcome to the agency." Writing that she was "so excited to join" his company in her new role, the reality TV star virtually raised glasses of champagne to her "new boss."

Perhaps Wilkinson's new gig isn't all that surprising, however, as she took to Instagram the previous month to let fans know she was working toward becoming a real estate agent. "What I've been working on during quarantine finally paid off by passing my California real estate exam on the first try," she wrote alongside a slide show of photos capturing the examination day. "... Was so nervous I couldn't even sleep one minute but I did it and now I can breathe and celebrate my hard work." Congratulations, Kendra!
