Dave Clark: What Is Princess Beatrice's Ex-Boyfriend Doing Now?

Citizens of the United Kingdom and the royal family might be in the midst of celebrating Princess Beatrice's marriage to British property tycoon Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi after they tied the knot in a secret ceremony on July 17, 2020, but there's a chance at least one person might be avoiding the big news: Beatrice's ex, Dave Clark.

Clark, who dated the royal for nearly a decade until their breakup in 2016, was scrutinized by the press after the pair ended its years-long relationship. As the Daily Beast noted in the days following Beatrice's split from Clark, a number of factors seemed to be at play in their parting ways: namely, that the Virgin Galactic businessman refused to put a ring on it despite the longevity of their romance.

According to friends at the time, the breakup caught them completely unawares. As one anonymous source close to the couple stated: "To be honest, it caught us by surprise...I always thought it was hard to see how Dave could not marry her as they had been together so long."

Though the split was categorized as generally amicable despite the supposed matrimonial deal-breaker, it's not entirely clear if Beatrice and Dave transitioned from romantic partners to platonic ones. Part of that might have to do with what Clark has been up to in the years since they parted ways. Check it out.

Princess Beatrice's ex, Dave Clark, has moved on

In the years since Princess Beatrice and her ex-boyfriend, Dave Clark, parted ways, the British businessman looks like he's moved on — most notably, with a marriage of his own. As the Daily Mail reported in 2019, Clark tied the knot with New York advertising executive Lynn Anderson, whom Clark purportedly met only two months after ending his 10-year long relationship with the royal.

According to People, Anderson and Clark got engaged in 2017 after six months of dating. When news of both the engagement and the subsequent wedding ceremony hit the press, Beatrice remained quiet to the public regarding both respective events. While we can only speculate how the princess felt, we're guessing that by September 2018, Beatrice might've been a little preoccupied — by her now-husband, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, whom she began dating around that time (via People). Edoardo and Beatrice had to postpone their wedding for numerous reasons but must have decided enough was enough.

We at Nicki Swift know that breakups can be pretty rough, but we're glad that both exes have been able to find love once again.
