Kelsey Grammer's Relationship History Is Full Of Age Gap Relationships
The following article includes mentions of domestic violence.
Kelsey Grammer's road to fame began with his iconic role playing Dr. Frasier Crane on the series "Cheers." While he'd had a few roles before that, "Cheers" was his breakthrough; his role was so popular that he headlined the series spin-off, "Frasier." Along the way, Grammer had many romantic relationships, which led to four marriages and eight children. Grammer, like many celebs, has had some relationships with major age gaps. His partners tend to be quite a few years younger, which famously led to him welcoming a child at the age of 70 in 2025. His wife, Kayte Walsh, was 46.
Of course, Grammer is far from the only celebrity welcoming children in their later years. While it's incredibly rare for someone to give birth in their 70s, there are plenty of examples of famous men fathering children far into their twilight years (with the help of their much younger partners). In 2023, Robert DiNiro welcomed a baby girl in 2023 at 79 years old. That same year, Al Pacino welcomed a son at the age of 83. Grammer might be in the same boat. Looking back at his past relationships, it's obvious that Grammer has always had an eye for younger women.
Kelsey Grammer's relationship with Katye Walsh features the biggest age gap
Kelsey Grammer's current wife, Katye Walsh, is 24 years younger than him. Before entering the public eye, Walsh worked as a flight attendant. The couple first met when Grammer was on a flight to London in 2009. Their first date was something out of a Christmas movie, with Grammer and Walsh strolling through snowy London right around the holidays. Just two years later, Grammer and Walsh married just weeks after his divorce from his ex-wife Camille Meyer. What might be someone's winter wonderland romance might be someone else's marriage-ending nightmare.
The couple's beginnings were met with fire as Grammer was cheating on his ex-wife, Meyer, with Walsh. The scandalous scenario was aired out (like many scandalous scenarios before it) on a sit-down Oprah interview with the pair. Walsh expressed some sort of guilt but didn't hold back on the fact that love just happened to be in the air. "I'm not proud of the way we started out because he was in a marriage," she told Oprah (via ABC News). "I'm sorry. I have so many emotions. But you know, I fell in love. I don't know how to word it, I don't know how to put it into words."
Camille Meyer began as Kelsey Grammer's much younger model wife before rising to Bravo fame
Kelsey Grammer and Camille Meyer were married for 13 years, which, funnily enough, is about the same length as their sizable age gap. Meyer started out as a model before pivoting to reality television with her time on "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills." Grammer told Piers Morgan that he takes credit for her role on the series. "It was my way of saying, 'Look, you always wanted to be famous. Here you go," he said (via The Sun). His plan backfired as Grammer and Meyer's messy divorce was famously documented on the first season of the show, bringing plenty of attention to the already scandalous situation.
Things never ended up amicable between Grammer and Meyer, despite co-parenting their two children. In a 2019 conversation with Graham Bensinger, Grammer didn't hold back when discussing his ex-wife. "Honestly, I don't really talk about her very much because so much of her life is spent talking about me and I just think it's sort of pathetic," he said. In that same conversation, Grammer said that their marriage had been on the rocks for several years, but infidelity was what ultimately led to its demise. Luckily for Meyer, it wasn't all for naught. According to Page Six, she was awarded about $30 million from Grammer's 401k fund after the divorce.
Leigh-Anne Csuhany and Kelsey Grammer had a tumultuous marriage
Between 1992 and 1993, Kelsey Grammer got swept into a whirlwind marriage with Leigh-Anne Csuhany. Csuhany was a former exotic dancer and 15 years his junior. According to The Sun, their short-lived marriage was anything but happy. Their tumultuous relationship culminated in allegations that she threatened to kill him.
He recounted their marriage in his 1995 autobiography "So Far..." (via Hollywood Life). He explained in detail how Csuhany would "spit in my face, slap me, punch me, kick me, break glasses over my head, break windows, tear up pictures of my loved ones, threaten to kill me, kill herself," throughout their marriage. Along with the alleged physical violence, Grammer said he suffered intense emotional abuse from Csuhany. "To be sure I'd never leave her, Leigh-Anne had to convince me that I was nothing," he claimed. "Unattractive, untalented, undeserving of love, and incapable of being loved by anyone but her."
