Talented actor Woody Harrelson's bright and extroverted personality is well-known to his fans, but what might surprise some is that he's quite private when it comes to his family. Despite this, we've gotten peeks at his lovely family here and there over the years, and his three daughters, Deni, Zoe, and Makani, born in 1994, 1996, and 2006, respectively, have grown up very well. Harrelson shares his daughters with longtime wife Laura Louie, whom he married in 2008 after around two decades of dating.

These days, the Harrelson-Louie sisters still only make rare public appearances. But they've attended some events as grown women, allowing fans to see that all three have taken after their mother with their natural beauty. Deni and Makani accompanied their parents at the New York City premiere of Harrelson's sports dramedy movie "Champions" in 2023. In the movie, Harrelson plays a former minor league basketball team assistant coach who starts coaching a team of young players with learning disabilities in order to avoid jail time after an incident. Deni and her younger sister posed for photos on the red carpet with Harrelson and their mother, and the family resemblance was undeniable.

The couple's middle daughter, Zoe (pictured below with Harrelson in 2015), wasn't at this premiere and tends to keep a lower profile than her siblings. She's now an attorney. Makani, meanwhile, attended the February 2023 Stella McCartney X Adidas Party in Los Angeles, California, by herself, looking confident and stylish. The year before, she was also seen smiling and posing with Xochitl Gomez at the premiere of the documentary "Mija." With any luck, fans will get to see more of Harrelson and Louie's kids as they further embark into the world on their own.

Woody Harrelson credits his wife and daughters for making him a better person

While Woody Harrelson might not talk about his family often, when he does, he heaps huge praise on their influence on him as a person. In a 2018 interview with The Guardian, he talked about how early fame from his time as a "Cheers" cast member in the 1980s led him to go from being "gregarious," as he described himself, to someone much more closed off. He said, "The pressure of people that I didn't know constantly wanting to talk to me made me recoil and become less outgoing. It had quite a negative impact."

But decades later, he's much different, crediting his family for the positive change. "Luckily, this life and my family — my wife and my daughters they kind of loved me into a better human being," he said. Clearly, he felt this major change in himself from the beginning, after his first daughter, Deni, was born in 1994. Harrelson told Esquire that when she was born, "This little being managed to get around all the obstacles — the gun turrets, the walls, the moats, the sentries — that were wrapped around my heart. My heart at that time needed her." He fully embraced parenthood from then on.

Since then, everything has seemingly been going swimmingly for the award-winning actor. He's starred in plenty of hit films and television shows, with a few standouts from over the years including "Zombieland," "The Hunger Games," "The Messenger," "Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri," and "True Detective," the last of which he co-starred with his close friend, Matthew McConaughey. As for whether or not any of Harrelson's daughters will follow in his footsteps into acting, only time will tell.
