The Truth About Maluma's Ex-Girlfriend, Natalia Barulich
Model Natalia Barulich may not be dating Colombian singer Maluma anymore, but she was his muse for the nearly two years that they were together. The two met on the set of Maluma's music video for "Felices los 4" in 2017, according to O, the Oprah Magazine, but didn't start dating right away. Their relationship lasted through October 2019, when People en Español reported the couple had called it quits. So, what do we know about Barulich and who she is outside of her relationship with Maluma? Let's take a look.
The Cuban-Croatian model, who was born in Los Angeles, has an impressive résumé, to say the least. She's starred in ads for huge brands like Guess, according to E! News, and Agent Provocateur. Barulich has also graced the pages of the glossies, like Harper's Bazaar Vietnam, GQ Russia, and Elle Bulgaria. Several of her modeling shots in 2020 have been with her current beau, Brazilian soccer player Neymar Jr., at her side.
Barulich and Maluma also adopted a pup together while they were dating — a Pomeranian named Julieta. They gave her her own Instagram account, and it looks like Barulich might have staked her claim on the dog in the breakup. The last photo on her account is from March 30, 2020, and the caption makes note of mom being home with her every day, so Barulich has a furry sidekick! Beyond her modeling career, Natalia Barulich is passionate about music
Outside of modeling, Natalia Barulich also took a turn into music. She was part of the DJ duo Atmsphre alongside Esther Anaya. They were managed by American Idol's Randy Jackson back in 2017 and told Celeb Mix that the idea for the group was born out of a love of music. "After spending several years traveling and performing on our separate ventures, we realized incorporating our unique styles and skills together would create Atmsphre," Barulich said. Their focus was on mixing classic and contemporary styles to create a new fusion of music, but the project fizzled.
However, Barulich is still focused on her own music career and told People en Español after her breakup with Maluma that she was writing music. "Each week I'm in the studio working on new songs," she said in late 2019. She also dropped her song "Selva" with Spence in February 2020.
Barulich also looks to be laying low with her current boyfriend Neymar Jr. After what she called a "toxic" relationship with Maluma in an interview with the Evolve podcast in 2019 (via Hola!), we can understand Barulich wanting to stay a little more private these days. Though she did jokingly tell People en Español post-breakup that she didn't have time for love again. Looks like she changed her mind!
