The Truth About Christina Anstead's New Yacht
Christina Anstead appears to be celebrating her recent divorce in true boss fashion. The Christina on the Coast star shared an Instagram photo on Oct. 7, 2020 posing on her brand new yacht. Anstead held two bottles of champagne high in the air while smiling from ear-to-ear. "AFTERMATH" she captioned the post while also revealing the name of the new vessel. She deactivated the comments on the flashy photo, but the whole scene may reference her recent divorce from English TV personality Ant Anstead. Christina announced her split from the Wheeler Dealers host in September 2020. Their break comes less than two years after getting married.
The former Flip or Flop star made sure to tag luxury boat maker Prestige Yachts and yacht dealership Country Coastal in her celebratory post, which was only her fourth post since announcing the end of her second marriage. Let's take a closer look at what went wrong this time around.
Christina Anstead's love life didn't go as planned
This is the first time in a long time that Christina Anstead has been single. She first went public with Ant Anstead in October 2017, less than one year after separating from her ex-husband and Flip or Flop co-star Tarek El Moussa in December 2016. Her divorce wasn't finalized until January 2018, but according to People, Christina fell hard for Ant, and in December of that year, the two exchanged their "I Dos" in a surprise ceremony in their backyard. They welcome a son named Hudson in September 2019, but instead of planning their son's first birthday party together, she's apparently contending with a divorce instead.
Christina is typically very active on social media, but she's deactivated her comments on every post since revealing her breakup with Ant. On Sept. 26, 2020, she got very candid about her history and her journey as a newly single mother. "I never thought I would have one divorce let alone two," she captioned a selfie. "I never thought I would have two baby daddies — but sometimes life throws us curve balls."
Christina Anstead is looking forward to the future
In addition to her 1-year-old son Hudson with Ant Anstead, Christina Anstead also shares a 10-year-old daughter named Taylor and a 5-year-old son named Brayden with her first husband, Tarek El Moussa (pictured left).
While the breakup with Ant is still very fresh, Christina and El Moussa have been able to work out their differences and co-parent their children successfully. In 2017, El Moussa joked about changing the name of his own luxury yacht following his split from his DIY co-star. "It used to be called 'Flip or Flop'," he told People at the time. "I recently changed it to 'Bad Decision' because apparently, I've made a couple." He went on to reassure the outlet that both he and Christina "laughed about" the yacht's new name.
As a newly single woman, the Christina on the Coast star appears to be looking on the bright side of her situation. "Instead of getting stuck in these 'setbacks', I choose to look at these challenges as opportunities to grow," she said in a lengthy Instagram post. Christina's best friend and publicist, Cassie Zebisch, spoke to People about her pal's "difficult" experience and coping mechanisms. "She's doing her best to tune out all the noise and focus her energy on her children and her work," Zebisch said.
Well, it looks like this yacht may be the perfect way for Anstead to drown out the outside noise. Sail away, queen!
