The Truth About Post Malone And BTS' Relationship
With both Post Malone and BTS set to perform at the 2020 Billboard Music Awards, fans are undoubtedly hoping for some Posty/BTS interaction of some kind. After all, the K-pop band has been vocal about their love for the "Rockstar" artist for years, with Malone returning the favor at the 2017 American Music Awards, as seen in a Twitter video posted by J-Hope.
TBH, for fans who stan multiple artists, it's common to lose it every time your faves meet and see each other IRL. It's even more exciting when one act is a fan of the other — or the feeling is mutual — and a little fangirling occurs (from the artists, no less). This is exactly what happens anytime BTS is in the vicinity of Malone, much to the delight of pretty much everyone.
Let's dig a little deeper into the band's relationship with one of the hottest artists in hip-hop.
BTS has stanned Post Malone for years
Fans love the BTS/Post Malone relationship so much that there's even a compilation video of all the times BTS has mentioned — or covered — the rapper publicly. In fact, they regularly refer to him as one of their favorite artists.
This includes the group's February 2020 episode of "Carpool Karaoke" on The Late Late Show with James Corden. In the video, the band jams out to Posty's hit single, "Circles," while they jokingly revealed that after meeting Malone, they realized he "smokes too many cigarettes."
Of course, the guys have had plenty of other interactions with Malone — including that fateful time at the 2017 AMAs, during which they were super excited to meet the rapper. Malone let his inner fan loose as well, telling them, "You guys are f*****g tearing it up."
The artists once again "teamed up" at Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve in 2020, where they each performed (separately, boo). They were even all on stage when the New Year's countdown began, and they rang in the New Year with each other. Hearts were literally bursting.
We can only hope that there will be more BTS/Post Malone content to feast on in the near future!
