Inside 90 Day Fiance Stars Tom Brooks And Avery Warner's Feud

If you land a spot on 90 Day Fiancé, it usually goes something like this: You and your partner spend 90 days arguing with each other and fighting with your families about how you're rushing into a green card marriage. Then, if you're lucky, you become popular enough to snag a place on one of TLC's many spin-offs — 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way, 90 Day Fiancé: Pillow Talk, or 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?

If TLC casts you in a spin-off, you hit the jackpot, because you don't have to stay with your (often ill-fitting) partner. You do have to find someone to date and someone to fight with, though... which is usually the same person, but not always. That was just such the case with Tom Brooks and Avery Warner, who ended their season of 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days in a straight-up feud.

First, a little background, Tom made his TLC debut as Darcey Silva's partner from the U.K. Avery came onto the show dating Ash Naeck, a "dating coach" from Australia. They were on and off for years, but by the time the season finale finally rolled around, they had called it quits for good. So, how did Avery and Tom get mixed up together? And what happened to make them hate each other so much? We've got all the answers, so read on to find out.

Tom Brooks apparently tried to trick Avery Warner

In June 2020, the 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days reunion started with a bang. The whole thing took place over Zoom, so it was basically just a bunch of split screens of reality stars yelling and talking over each other, and that's when fans finally got the down-low on Tom Brooks and Avery Warner's feud.

Here's what happened — Avery's sometimes boyfriend, Ash Naeck, accused Avery of trying to hook up with Tom. To be fair, though, Avery and Ash weren't together at the time. According to Screen Rant, Ash reached out to Tom and asked him to help "test" Avery's commitment, which is weird because Avery wasn't in a committed relationship at the time, but whatever. So Tom, following Ash's orders, slid into Avery's DMs and asked her out. She supposedly said yes.

That's when Avery found out about the set-up, and she was understandably furious. She was mad at Ash and angry at Tom for being a busy-body. Tom said he wasn't trying to entrap Avery at the reunion, he just asked her out, and when Ash asked him about, he told the truth. Avery and the fans aren't buying it. The whole thing is super sketch.

Here's hoping Avery moves on from both Tom and Ash. Maybe it's time to start considering men outside of the TLC universe.
