Can't put a finger on it? Barbara Bush's husband, Craig Coyne, might look familiar to you — and for good reason. With a face like his, he's hard to forget. The Yale University alum has an extensive résumé, which includes many appearances on the big screen. Yet, despite his many talents, Coyne's sensitive side ultimately captured the former first daughter's heart.
Bush and Coyne first began dating in November 2017 after being set up on a blind date through mutual friends, Bush told People after the couple tied the knot in October 2018. Despite living on opposite sides of the country at the time, they made their relationship work. "And we've been long-distance for most of it — he's been in L.A. and I've been in New York — but we've gotten to spend a lot of time together," Bush added, revealing that her husband relocated to Manhattan the same week of their wedding. "It's just been a very sweet romance," the brunette beauty gushed, noting, "This has been a whirlwind."

Craig Coyne worked tirelessly to succeed in the performing arts
Movie buffs might recognize Craig Coyne from the movie Jarhead, where he was in very good company. The 2005 film was about a United States sniper during the Gulf War and featured award-winning actors Jake Gyllenhaal and Jamie Foxx. While Coyne didn't have a very big part, his Independent Talent profile, which has since been deleted, stated he got his "first taste of the entertainment industry" when he was cast by director Sam Mendes for the role (via The List).
Following his acting debut, Coyne moved to Los Angeles to pursue his dream of becoming a star. He scored a role on the YouTube web series Loneygirl15, where he played the part of Carl in 14 episodes from 2007 to 2008. The stud went on to act in a variety of films, such as the comedic feature film I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell in 2009 and the dramatic Look at Me in 2012. Additionally, Coyne acted in a total of seven short films by 2015.

According to Craig Coyne's now-deleted Independent Talent profile, his agent revealed he started "shifting his focus to writing" after he wrote the play Delusions of Grammar, The List reported in 2018. The work was named "an official selection to the 2016 William Inge Theatre Festival," his representative boasted in his bio. Furthermore, Coyne had sold a "live action half hour" show to Comedy Central called Doin' Good. At the time, his agent stated on his profile that Avalon Entertainment was down to produce Coyne's creation. The performer also wrote, directed, and created an original series for Funny or Die called Ask Play, which features Parks and Recreation's actor Jim O'Heir.
Although Barbara Bush is in a less creative field being the co-founder and president of the non-profit organization Global Health Corps, the couple seems to have bonded over their mutual interest in writing following the release of her first book, Sisters First, which she co-wrote with her fraternal twin sister, Jenna Bush Hager.

Barbara Bush and her fraternal twin sister, Jenna Bush Hager, published their joint memoir, Sisters First: Stories from Our Wild and Wonderful Life in November 2017, which inadvertently lead her to her true love. The sisters set out on a book tour across the country where they had a stop in Atlanta. Although the couple, who were introduced through a friend of a friend, were supposed to meet up in New York City, Bush's work interrupted their plans, so Craig Coyne came to her.
"It was a group first date, and they tried to give us our space but we were all seated at the same table. But it was so blind that I didn't know what he looked like," Barbara told People in October 2018. "And so I went up to two guys before him in the lobby, asking if they were him. And then, luckily, a really handsome guy walked in, and I thought, 'Please, maybe this one will be him.' And it was him. And so that was our first date, and he rolled with it."
In another twist of fate, friend and author Emily Giffin snapped a photo of the two the night they met for safe keeping. "I told them they needed to get a quick snapshot 'just in case you end up getting married.' And they DID!!! Ahhhh!!!" she wrote on Instagram following her friends' nuptials. "Here's to forever!!!!"
