Kate Gosselin's Dramatic Transformation

Kate Gosselin — aka TLC's love-to-hate/hate-to-love poster girl — went through many changes after hitting the reality TV scene back in 2007, but none were more obvious than those that occurred after she kicked her ex-husband, Jon Gosselin, to the curb.

Check out some of Kate's more dramatic transformations. She went from soccer mom to glamour girl in less than a decade, and the look just keeps on changing... and getting better, somehow, with age.

The haircut and that mommy makeover

Gosselin raised interest in the public eye in 2007 during the debut of Jon & Kate Plus 8 with a sleek, face-framing bob with a spiky back. The look was super no-nonsense and didn't leave much room for anything beyond a flat iron and some pomade.

In the first season of Jon & Kate Plus 8, Gosselin underwent her first plastic surgery procedure, a tummy tuck that was televised for the entire world to see. The surgery was done to repair "damage" that had been done to her body after giving birth to eight children. About her 2006 tuck, she said on Twitter, "Get through the first two weeks of pain and yuck and it'll be the BEST decision you've ever made!"

In her 2010 book, I Just Want You to Know, Gosselin noted that her tummy tuck was free and detailed her glee in finding out the news. "I was standing in my bedroom when I heard the news, and I screamed at the top of my lungs," she wrote. "I would say a dream come true, but I hadn't even dared to have that dream."

The Huffington Post reported that when Gosselin went for her tummy tuck surgery, she asked the doctor if she could snag a free boob job to go along with the tuck, but the doctor was said to advise Gosselin that she just needed a better bra.

A new 'do, plastic surgery rumors, and denials

Gosselin eventually began to grow out what became her signature hairstyle and started wearing it in loose waves in 2010, and that's when the plastic surgery rumors began. In 2010, Us Weekly reported that Gosselin went under the knife for a breast enhancement surgery and had even allegedly consulted her bodyguard about it.

Us stated, "[Gosselin] was going to have one kind of breast augmentation, but she changed her mind after talking to [her bodyguard] about what would look best."

Though it was never confirmed, Gosselin was said to have gone from a size four shirt to a size six, which was attributed to having a little more junk in the upper trunk than she had previously. However, when asked about the surgical procedure, Gosselin was alleged to respond, "Plastic surgery? Please. Who has time to even think about it, let alone do it?"

Still, the rumor mill kept on churning.

Pass the Botox, please

In 2010, doctors interviewed by Us Weekly claimed that Gosselin had gone under the knife — er, needle — in order to obtain what they considered "botched" Botox treatments.

Dr. Michael Olding, a plastic surgeon, stated, "She looked much better [previously]: great hair, nice smile, and a normal brow position." After undergoing what was said to be a bad Botox treatment, Olding said, "[Gosselin] had the typical appearance of Dysport or Botox poorly placed in the space between the brows where frown lines occur" and that "the lateral part of her brow" was "elevated in an abnormally high position, which my patients refer to as McDonald's arches!"

Later in the year, Gosselin spoke to The View (via The Huffington Post) and slammed any and all surgery rumors that went beyond the boundaries of the well-known tummy tuck. Gosselin, on the offense, said, "Why [are my boobs] so fascinating? I got a good bra!"

As for face-altering injectables, Gosselin said, "Botox? Absolutely not. Boobs? No. Tummy tuck, yes. We all know that. I run every day. I work out, I'm healthy, I want to look as good as I possibly can."

The Botox rumors would continue to plague her transformation, and in 2011, she still continued to fight the good fight of denial. In an interview with People, Gosselin said: "Read my eyebrows: no Botox!"

Dancing With the Stars, more surgery rumors, and extensions

In her 2010 appearance on ABC's Dancing With the Stars, Kate Gosselin was plagued by further allegations of plastic surgery. As she geared up for her dancing stint, Radar Online revealed she'd ditched her "old" hair and replaced most of it with extensions.Ted Gibson, the stylist responsible for Gosselin's sleek new look, said he would have charged to the tune of $7,000 for the hairstyle in one of his salons. "My haircuts are $950."

"The color would have been about $500 and the extensions, which were great length extensions, would probably cost about $5,000."

New hair aside, Gosselin once again shot down plastic surgery rumors and said that she simply took good care of herself after splitting up with her husband. On her former blogging platform on Coupon Cabin (via The Huffington Post), Gosselin said, "I will confirm I have not had one [procedure] (I am only 36!!!). But I will take all of the talk about how rested and young I look as a compliment!"

Incidentally, CouponCabin severed its ties with Gosselin in 2012, and publicly claimed that she was not fit to represent the brand.

The statement from CouponCabin read, "A series of recent events have made it clear to me that [Gosselin] and her contributions do not align with the authenticity which we set out to build almost a decade ago, and that Ms. Gosselin is simply not a good fit with the wonderful team and culture at CouponCabin."

"It's with this," the statement continued, "that I am writing to inform you of our decision to discontinue Ms. Gosselin's feature blog on CouponCabin.com."

Watch What Happens Live and de-aging

In a 2012 interview with Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live, Gosselin went even further with her claims of being anti-plastic surgery, and asserted that she simply just "de-aged." To Cohen, Gosselin said, "I am probably one of the rare few who de-age."

Cohen looked taken aback, yet Gosselin continued, blaming the drastic transformation on recovering after multiple childbirths. She said that enduring her post-childbearing look was "the roughest time ever" and rationalized her sensational "de-aging" claim. She concluded, "You have to get better, right? You can't get worse than that."

While science hasn't yet pinpointed what, exactly, "de-aging" is, it's not a hard stretch of the imagination to think that whatever it is, Gosselin might have tapped into it somewhere along her line of fame.

Celebrity Apprentice and that face

During Gosselin's stint on Celebrity Apprentice, which concluded filming in 2014, she sported a very severe look — extremely tight skin, dramatic brows, and super long, super loose beach waves. Though plastic surgery rumors still swirled, she explained to E! why she looked so much younger at that point than she did eight years prior.

"I think when the world met me I was three days post having sextuplets, so the only place you can get from that point is younger," she explained. "It was really just eye-trickery, I think," Gosselin claimed. "You guys saw me at my worst first, and then I just kind of reversed in front of your eyes. It was nothing amazing, it was just, when you met me, who was that person?"

That person was a very different-looking Gosselin, to be sure.

Either way, she looks great

Despite Kate Gosselin's protestations that she hasn't gotten plastic surgery, it's hard to deny that she looks pretty good — and not even for a woman who had a horde of kids, but simply for a woman who very obviously takes care of herself.

Gosselin claimed that the key to her transformation is fitness and clean eating, and it's apparent that her penchant for running has paid off immensely. In 2012, Gosselin told Runner's World that she tried to run as many as 10 miles in one bout. "I run 10 miles every other day," she revealed. "Travel weeks throw me into a weird schedule, though. But when I'm looking at the week ahead, I plan my runs based on my schedule. If it's on my schedule, I do it, because that's when it gets done."

About her super healthy dieting habits, Gosselin said, "When I started out as a runner, I ran to eat. Even so, I eat healthy and I rarely allow myself treats."

"I love salads, I love healthy eating," she admitted. "Now, when the miles start creeping up, and you're starving, it's flipped. I eat to run."

Girl, it shows.
