What You Didn't Know About Danielle Campbell

Danielle Campbell is perhaps best known for her role as Davina on The CW's The Originals, a spinoff of The Vampire Diaries that starred Joseph Morgan and Daniel Gillies. She played the role for more than 60 episodes before hopping to other shows like RunwaysFamous in Love, and Tell Me a Story. She's made TV her home for several years now, but there's a lot more to know about this actress.

Campbell was born in January 1995 in Illinois and made her big acting debut in the film Prom, which she filmed when she was just 15 years old. She'd done some small-time acting before that, getting her break into it while she was at a hair salon with her mom when she was 10 years old, according to the Chicago Tribune. She told the publication of her early days, "I've always loved being in front of people, and I've never really been shy, so I think that helped."

Despite her rising star, though, Campbell's parents tried to keep her grounded, keeping their home in Illinois and keeping her in high school. "My parents are keeping me grounded, but at the same time it's just whipping by me and it's so cool," she told the Tribune of her acting career in 2011. But let's take a look at her life off the screen.

Danielle Campbell loves dogs, traveling, and her little brother

Despite being a well-loved and well-known actress, Danielle Campbell is actually pretty private. She does share glimpses of her life on Instagram, but not all that frequently. She shares memories of her travel, which she's clearly fond of, showing off trips to Italy, Thailand, and more. Campbell is also close with her younger brother, Johnny, who is close to the same age.

Campbell is also a dog-lover! Her fur baby Max often makes an appearance on her Instagram, and she's not shy about calling him, "a happy man." She also formerly had a dog named Clifford, which she shared with ex-boyfriend Louis Tomlinson, but Tomlinson got the dog in the split, leaving Campbell with just Max.

Speaking of ex-boyfriends, Campbell has a few notable ones. Aside from British singer Tomlinson, whom Campbell was linked to from late 2015 to late 2016, she was also linked to fellow actor Gregg Sulkin in early 2017, according to Teen Vogue. Campbell appears to have been dating fellow Originals star Colin Woodell since about 2018, making a few public appearances together and popping up on Instagram together.
