She'd say, 'You should hear her sing. You should read this poem she wrote.' The praise was always about what I'd done, not how I looked."

She was recognized in the Female Movie Star of 2020 category for her work in The Old Guard and was also up for the Action Movie Star of 2020 thanks to the same film. However, before the big night even began, the star appeared to be ready for what was to come.
A few weeks before the awards show took place, Theron took to Instagram to share a photo of herself getting her makeup done. While there's nothing strange about that, what made the image so hilarious was the fact that the result of her makeover wasn't exactly what you'd expect. Frankly, her blush wasn't blended, her eyeshadow was patchy, and her mascara was under her eyes instead of on her lashes. But we have a feeling that the star has never felt more beautiful than she did that day. That's because her makeup was being done by her daughter. The mom of two children, Jackson and August, captioned the photo by writing, "To every makeup artist out there..... watch out, you've got competition!"
