Demi Lovato's People's Choice Awards Red Carpet Look Is Turning Heads

On Nov. 15, 2020, the E! People's Choice Awards brought together the biggest names in pop culture for an unforgettable night of special performances and inspiring feel-good moments. While this year's show is audience-free and socially distanced, it's one of the few events to roll out the red carpet, meaning that stars are bringing the glam and stepping out in everything from sequins to plunging necklines. "Stone Cold" singer and host of the big night's festivities, Demi Lovato is just one of many who dressed to impress. Despite oozing confidence in front of the cameras, the singer had previously expressed she was both nervous and excited about her hosting duties.

"I'm pretty excited, you know, I don't feel like there is too much at stake," Lovato shared on a Nov. 11 episode of Late Night with Seth Meyers. "When it comes to the National Anthem or the Super Bowl there is a little bit more pressure than hosting an awards show. Just because if you mess up the lyrics, then people come after you as an American." She added, "I am still nervous, like don't get me wrong. Hosting is not my first language so to speak. Singing is." Though she copped to nerves when it comes to presenting, Lovato's red hot getup says otherwise. Keep scrolling to see the head-turning look.

Demi Lovato made a statement on the red carpet

For the 2020 E! People's Choice Awards in Santa Monica, California, Demi Lovato opted for a sparkling red, 80's-inspired pantsuit from the Naeem Khan pre-fall 2020 collection, according to E!. She complimented the glitzy look with accessories that add to the retro vibe, including fringed crystal-drop earrings and a jeweled ring.

Ahead of her dramatic arrival, Lovato shared a behind-the-scenes sneak peek on Instagram with her glam squad. And if comments on the post are anything to go by, her fans definitely approve. "OMFG," one user commented, while another simply wrote "HOTTTTTTT." Fellow star (and Miley Cyrus's little sis) Noah Cyrus weighed in, writing "that's mine!" No doubt there will be plenty of outfit changes as the night goes on, but the bold pantsuit seems to be an early hit thus far. And in what's been a bit of a rough year for Lovato, who recently endured a messy split from ex-fiancé Max Ehrich, we're happy to see her shine in the spotlight (literally).

The star has also been outspoken about how much the award ceremony means to her. "This is up to the people, and in fact, this has always been the award show that has always meant the most to me because they are the ones who get to vote," she told host Seth Meyers on Late Night with Seth Meyers. "They are the ones casting the decisions. ...This is up to the people and that's what this year has been about."
