Here's What Andy Cohen Had To Say About Jax Taylor's Vanderpump Rules Exit

It looks like Andy Cohen hates to see Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright go, but he loves to watch them leave! In December 2020, the Bravo guru gave a round of applause for the pair for their "incredible run," on Vanderpump Rules following the news of their departure from the reality show. "I just have to say, I have to give it up to them," Cohen said on his SiriusXM radio show Andy Cohen Live on Dec. 7, 2020.

On Dec. 4, 2020, the pair revealed that they would not be returning to Vanderpump Rules. Jax appeared on the show for eight seasons, while Brittany had five seasons under her belt at the time of their exit. "Although this is difficult to share, Brittany and I will not be returning for another season of Vanderpump Rules. We are excited to take this time to focus on our growing family and share with you our new endeavors," Jax wrote on Instagram

Aside from showing admiration for his claim to fame, Jax also shared some shady remarks in the comments after fans began to speculate that the duo was fired. "I just couldn't see [myself] doing this same type of show with a child. My marriage and my family are more important. I am excited now to be a fan," he wrote to a fan (via Comments By Bravo).

Andy Cohen thinks Jax Taylor left a memorable legacy

Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright's relationship may have been one of the major storylines on Vanderpump Rules, but Andy Cohen reminded everyone that it was Jax who was an OG Vanderpump Rules star, noting that he created "so much story, drama, conversation in his eight years on that show." "That's quite a run that he had," Cohen said on his radio show. "He will go down as one of the biggest, you know, reality stars in their moment, don't you think?" Additionally, Cohen commended Jax for being "a good sport" when he appeared on Watch What Happens Live. "He was always in the middle of some s**tstorm on the show and we just would roast him mercilessly, and he always took it like a man."

Echoing his remarks in Jax's Instagram comments, Cohen wrote (via Reality Blurb), "Incredible run, dude. Amazing show and you were always the best, greatest sport. I have loved having you on wwhl and being on this ride with you." Seemingly touched by his former boss's words, Jax shared a screenshot of the comment to his Instagram Story, writing, "Thanks @bravoandy I'll see you again soon .."

Despite Jax and Brittany's departure, Cohen said he's "excited for there to be a shift" with his new "solid cast." Back in June 2020, Stassi Schroeder, Kristen Doute, Max Boyens and Brett Caprioni got the boot from Bravo following various accusations of racism. As of this writing, Season 9's cast has yet to be announced.
