Inside DWTS Pro Gleb Savchenko's Messy Divorce
Dancing with the Stars pro dancer Gleb Savchenko has had a difficult year with his wife, Elena Samodanova. Earlier in 2020, Samodanova accused her husband of fourteen years of infidelity and even alleged "a recent inappropriate relationship," according to People.
Because Savchenko was partnered with Selling Sunset's Chrishell Stause on the dancing show, people assumed Savchenko and Stause were having an affair. However, that was all negated when Stause opened up about her relationship with her new boyfriend and fellow DWTS pro, Keo Motsepe. While Stause was cleared, Savchenko was spotted vacationing with his new girlfriend, Cassie Scerbo, which explains some of the drama on Savchenko's side.
The plot thickens, however. For her part, Samodanova was spotted kissing a new man, another DWTS alum, Vlad Kvartin, in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico on Dec. 21, 2020, as Page Six reports. Samodanova and Savchenko announced their separation in November 2020 and Samodanova officially filed for divorce on Dec. 22, 2020, according to TMZ. So what's in store for this couple as they go through the divorce?
Gleb had to hire a lawyer because of Elena's accusations
Elena Samodanova filed for divorce from Dancing with the Stars pro Gleb Savchenko in Los Angeles on Dec. 22, 2020, according to TMZ. The couple married in 2006, according to People, and their divorce comes after fourteen years of marriage and two children together.
Samodanova filed for divorce only a day after she was spotted kissing DWTS alum Vlad Kvartin in Mexico, as Page Six reported. A rep for Savchenko addressed this, telling People: "It is very convenient that hours after Elena was caught out kissing another man on a beach in Cabo that she has now decided to announce that she has filed for divorce."
Unfortunately, their divorce might be a messy one because of how contentious the year has been for the former couple. As Page Six reports, Samodanova has accused Savchenko of several infidelities. Samodanova's accusations against her former husband were apparently so intense that he hired a lawyer to deal with her claims, according to People, who described Samodanova as "consistently slandering [Savchenko] on social media."
With such a stressful prelude to their divorce, it's quite possible that the proceedings will continue to be messy.
