Why You Don't See Khloé Kardashian On Social Media As Much Anymore

If you've been wondering where Khloé Kardashian has been on social media lately, you're not alone. Although the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star is usually very active on Twitter, she was noticeably absent from the platform throughout 2020. Aside from a few promotional posts and a celebratory Christmas tweet, one look at her Twitter timeline seems to point toward Khloé taking a little social media cleanse. On Dec. 28, 2020, one fan took matters into their own hands and commented on the Good American founder's Instagram post, writing (via E! News), "come back to Twitter we miss you." In response, the businesswoman replied, "I'll be back soon. I've been taking a social media break. Just pop in from time to time but I am enjoying the holiday time with my TuTu."

Just like she said, the mother of one has seemingly been spending tons of quality time with her daughter, True Thompson, who she shares with on-again, off-again boyfriend Tristan Thompson. On Dec. 24, 2020, the proud mama shared a series of sweet photos and videos of her little girl getting into the Christmas spirit while decorating some extra large gingerbread cookies. "Merry Christmas Eve!!!! Moments with my True!! The sweetest!! Gingerbread house creations and plenty of candy eating!" Khloé captioned the adorable slide show shared on Instagram. Although Khloé's 2020 social media break was for good reason, it wasn't the first time she has taken some time away from her screen.

Khloé Kardashian is so over social media

Although Khloé Kardashian is putting her phone to the side to spend some quality time with her daughter, she's stepped away from social media in the past for less pleasant reasons. From time to time, the youngest Kardashian sister shares posts that seemingly throw shade at her haters, but in February 2020, she reposted a particularly revealing message on her Instagram Story which read (via Us Weekly): "Social media has made too many of you comfortable with disrespecting people and not getting punched in the mouth for it." While Khloé has gone dark from time to time after dealing with trolls, she never stays silent for too long. In fact, Khloé said that she learned to "disconnect" from the online slander in a 2016 Forbes interview.

"We all get sucked into reading our comments every now and then. Now, I find it funnier where before it could have really affected my day," she shared at the time. "This might sound so bizarre but one time I was like, 'Oh my god these people are so mean, they're calling me XYZ.' So [I] just wanted to see if someone was saying the same things about Beyoncé. Like, who hates Beyoncé?" And I just went on her page and I looked and realized people are so mean to everybody."

While social media has a tendency to knock the reality star down, she still acknowledges its benefits, telling the outlet, "I'd never searched out writing the book [Strong Looks Better Naked]. Just like the talk show [Kocktails with Khloé], it came to me through the power of social media."
