Inside Joe Biden's Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve Appearance

When it's time to say goodbye to one year and usher in the next, many people choose to do so by tuning in to Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve. Led these days by Ryan Seacrest, the annual show tends to treat viewers by featuring some of the world's biggest stars. For instance, ABC has brought on some must-see celebrities to help fans bid adieu to 2020 and welcome 2021 with the kind of party that will surely kick off the new year in style.

Lucy Hale and Billy Porter will be co-hosting with Seacrest in New York while Ciara will be taking on the Los Angeles hosting duties, marking her fourth time showing up to help out. On top of that, "country artist Jessie James Decker will return as Powerball correspondent for the second year," according to DickClark.com. As for the night's performances, Jennifer Lopez will be the event's headliner and will take the stage "just before the iconic Times Square ball drop, live in New York's Times Square." Fans will also be able to see Jimmie Allen do his thing, as well as Porter and Cyndi Lauper, "who worked together on the Broadway hit Kinky Boots" and are set to "reunite on the NYRE stage for a duet performance."

As exciting as all of that is, those aren't the only famous faces who will be showing up for the big event. President-elect Joe Biden and soon-to-be first lady Dr. Jill Biden are also scheduled to show up.

Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve will feature Joe and Jill Biden's last interview of 2020

There's no denying that 2020 was a busy year for Joe Biden and his wife, Dr. Jill Biden. And in order to send off the one year in style and set 2021 off on a good start, the pair are set to turn up for Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve. The couple "will speak to host Ryan Seacrest for their final interview of the year, in an effort to bring hope, unity, and best wishes into 2021," per Entertainment Tonight.

"In a year marked with many challenges, we are honored that President-elect Joe Biden and Dr. Biden will join America's most-watched tradition — Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve — to share an inspiring message as we come together to close out 2020 and look ahead with hope to 2021," president of Dick Clark Productions Amy Thurlow and president of Hulu Originals and ABC Entertainment Craig Erwich said in a joint statement, per ET.

Considering they "take holiday traditions very seriously in the Biden family," as the future president himself tweeted, we have no doubt that their New Year's message will be meaningful and just what many people need to hear.
