Fashion mogul Kimora Lee Simmons has always had an uncanny ability to juggle motherhood and career effortlessly, all while on display for the world to see — and sporting sky-high designer stilettos, no less. Lest we forget the chic images burned into our brain of a stunning Simmons closing down the runway of her Baby Phat fashion shows with her two tiny tots, Ming Lee and Aoki Lee Simmons, in tow. As Teen Vogue's Jessica Andrews aptly put it, Simmons was "balancing motherhood and business for the world to see." It's safe to say these two young ladies mastered the art of the runway walk at a young age and developed a healthy appreciation for the long hours their mother put into her clothing lines at the same time.
But now those tiny toddlers who graced the runway with their precocious presence are all grown up and are quite literally doppelgangers of their fabulous mother — specifically Aoki, who was spotted by the Daily Mail frolicking on the beaches of St. Barts with her mama. As reported by the Daily Mail, Kimora Lee Simmons was spotted getting some good ol' rest and relaxation at the turn of the new year in 2021 with her kiddos on the posh island of St. Barts — a popular destination spot for many high profile celebs, including Sir Paul McCartney, Sofia Richie, and Chrissy Teigen.
While soaking up the sun, both Kimora and her daughter Aoki Lee Simmons, a student at Harvard, donned classic black one-piece swimsuits that left their long, tan legs on display. Kimora opted to accessorize her look with lots of bling, including a necklace, her signature giant hoops accompanied by a pair of large studs, a stack of bangles on each arm, and two dainty anklets. Aoki kept her look a bit more subdued, sporting a necklace, one single bangle, and an anklet for good measure. Both kept their makeup natural and their hair falling down around their shoulders.
As the afternoon wore on, the mother-daughter pair kicked it up a notch when they layered their swimsuits with beachwear. Kimora threw on a flowy orange-and-white cover-up, while Aoki tied a paisley print sarong effortlessly around her perfectly svelte waist. One thing's for sure: This mother-daughter duo can make any place their runway — even the sandy shores of St. Barts!
