When the 2018 film Crazy Rich Asians was released, it seemed like a fairy tale of glamour and riches overseas in a faraway land. Yes, affluent Asian families had money, but the film — starring some of Hollywood's greatest Asian actors, including Constance Wu, Henry Golding, Gemma Chan, and Ken Jeong — showed Americans what was really going down in Singapore.
So when Netflix released Bling Empire, it brought the fantasy to the States. The new reality series follows outrageously wealthy Asian and Asian-American socialites in Los Angeles as they navigate their social circles, relationships, and unfortunately, frenemies.
One of which is Cherie Chan, who has a daughter (and a child on the way) with her long-time boyfriend Jessey Lee. Apparently, as the main narrator Kane Lim pointed out, it is extremely rare for an Asian couple to have a child, let alone multiple, and not be married.

Cherie Chan and her boyfriend's wealth is beyond impressive
Although Cherie Chan is "an heiress to an undisclosed denim empire," she's definitely the most down-to-earth character on the show Bling Empire, outside of Kevin who's (by all accounts) the commoner of the cast.
According to Bustle, it's revealed in the second episode of Netflix series that Chan had aspirations of being a pop star in the past. More than just aspirations, she was actually signed to Sony Music. However, that plan didn't pan out and she devoted her life to being a mom and started her organic tequila brand, Religion Tequila.
Even though she's fully into being a mom, Chan doesn't skimp on her fashion sense. With a quick glance of her Instagram profile, the entrepreneur is on the up and up on the highest trends, even with her food posts.
According to TheCinemaholic, Chan and her boyfriend Jessey are worth $200 million. Cross your fingers that there's a season 2, so we can see if the pair ultimately walk down the aisle.
