How Miley Cyrus Wants To Be A Part Of Gwen Stefani's Wedding

Miley Cyrus has promised to be on her "best behavior" if she gets to sing at Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton's upcoming wedding. The 28-year-old enthusiastically threw her name in the hat when she tweeted the couple on Jan. 31, 2021, saying, "I'll be your wedding singer!" And in true Cyrus fashion, the singer also promised to be on her best or... worst behavior, depending on their preference: "whatever you want! It's your special day!" Cyrus also fawned over the pair when she added, "Cheers to loving you both almost as much as you love each other!"

Cyrus offered her wedding singing services after Stefani responded to a Twitter video of her performing "Prisoner" on NPR. The "Rich Girl" singer wrote, "talented geeezzzz," to which an elated Cyrus said, "When my hero's tweet me I get horny."

Stefani, still riding the compliment train, responded, "omg your crazy!! Blushing...," before Cyrus said she'd lend her voice to the pair's nuptial proceedings. And it seems that Stefani has accepted the offer as she shared Cyrus' tweet and wrote, "thanks puppy x." While neither Stefani nor Shelton have yet to provide any official ceremony details, it's possible Cyrus could be part of their special day after the trio formed a friendship on The Voice.

Blake Shelton used to be 'obsessed' with Billy Ray Cyrus

In 2016, Miley Cyrus was put in a chair on The Voice after Gwen Stefani left for a promotional album tour per BillboardBut despite being Stefani's replacement, Cyrus struck up quite the friendship with Blake Shelton. Back in 2016, she revealed Shelton was a big fan of her famous father during high school. "He was just so obsessed with my dad that the teachers called him 'Achey Blakey' because he just did everything that my dad did," Cyrus told Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show (via Daily Mail).

Shelton even paid homage to the "Achy Breaky" singer in 2020 after growing a mullet. While quarantining with Stefani, the country singer debuted his new do on Twitter and said, "Gwen Stefani has decided to take it to the next level... Stripes." Shortly after, the 44-year-old admitted to Ellen DeGeneres that Billy Ray was indeed the source of his "sexy" mullet inspiration. "When I think of sexy, I think of my heroes and Billy Ray Cyrus was one of them," he said (via People).

Following five years of dating, Shelton and Stefani announced their engagement on Instagram in October 2020. However, Stefani told Ryan Seacrest during an interview (via Daily Mail) that she'd rather have her wedding later than have during a "COVID situation." As we wait to hear a date and more details, maybe Shelton will sport the mullet again if Cyrus — and maybe her dad — become the wedding acts!
