This Former Real Housewife Was Asked To Be The Bachelorette
Ah, what could have been! In a match made in reality TV heaven, Real Housewives of Atlanta alum Kim Zolciak-Biermann might not have had her fairytale romance with former Atlanta Falcons player Kroy Biermann. Once a single mother of two, the Florida native fell head over heels for Kroy. But what about her love story pre-WAG fame?
Kim was married to Daniel Toce, the father of her daughter Ariana. Per Distractify, the couple were only married for two years before divorcing in 2003. Daniel was later arrested in 2011 for sexually abusing his 15-year-old former stepdaughter and spent two years in prison. The paternity of Kim's other daughter, Brielle, has never been made public.
Kim achieved reality TV stardom in October 2008 with the premiere of RHOA, and launched her country music career a few months later with famed single, "Tardy For the Party" in 2009. The bisexual Housewife dated "Tardy" collaborator DJ Tracy Young, per HuffPost. Yet before Kim met her future husband Kroy in 2010, she was apparently propositioned to have a very different reality TV experience: a stint as The Bachelorette! Keep reading to find out what Kim told tabloids about the offer, and how she went on to find love with Kroy!
Kim Zolciak-Biermann found happiness with husband Kroy Biermann
According to Page Six, Kim Zolciak-Biermann opened up on Real Housewives comedian Heather McDonalds' podcast "Juicy Scoop" about almost being The Bachelorette. "I was in talks with them, oh God, probably 14 years ago," Kim said in 2018. "It was a long, long time ago because [my daughter] Ariana was probably like a year or two old. I don't even know how that started because I wasn't filming or doing anything... I guess a couple of people that I knew had kind of tried to align that."
Kim thankfully met Kroy Biermann at a Dancing Stars of Atlanta charity event in 2010, with the moment being captured by the Real Housewives of Atlanta cameras during Season 3. The couple welcomed son KJ in May 2011 before tying the knot a few months later in November. Kim and Kroy also have son Kash (born in 2012) and twins Kane and Kaia (born in 2013). The busy brood's drama garnered them a Bravo spinoff show, Don't Be Tardy... in 2012. Kim quit RHOA the same year, but teased a possible return to the Housewives franchise in May 2020, per The Daily Dish.
As for her love life? Well, there's nothing sweeter than the happiness she has found with Kroy. "When you meet your soulmate, you just know," Kim wrote on Instagram in November 2020. This couple is stronger than ever!
