Gina Carano's Thoughts On Disney Have The Internet Buzzing

SHOTS FIRED! On the heels of her firing, actor Gina Carano is accusing Disney of "bullying her." But first, let's take it all the way back — back to the beginning.

As reported by Deadline, the actor was fired from Disney+'s The Mandalorian in early February 2021 after she penned a highly controversial post in which she likened "hating someone for their political views" to the way in which Jews were treated by Nazis during the Holocaust. Action was swift by the big wigs at both Disney and Lucasfilm and even Carano admitted that she only heard of her firing via social media, not from either of her employers per BBC. Lucasfilm, however, did release a statement referring to Carano's statements as both "abhorrent and unacceptable." YIKES.

The actor later agreed to an interview with conservative Ben Shapiro, during which she aired out her grievances with the Disney company. "I'm not the only one that's ever been bullied by this company, and I know that so deeply. I could share a story which would turn things around in the media but I can't because it would sell out a friend... everyone is afraid of losing their job," Carano divulged cryptically. But what else did the former Disney star have to say? Keep reading after the jump to find out!

Gina Carano believes she was being headhunted by Disney

As reported by BBC, Gina Carano believes that she was being unfairly targeted by Disney. "I've seen the bullying that takes place. I'm going to go down fighting," Carano maintained. "You know how boxers headhunt? Sometimes they forget to go to the body. And I feel like Disney, or Lucasfilm, or whoever it is, maybe just certain people in that company, I feel like I've been being headhunted for the last, I don't know, how many months and you can feel it," she added.

According to Carano, she also believes she was "watched like a hawk," while her outspoken co-star, Pedro Pascal, had essentially flown under the radar for a tweet in which he compared the children being held in cages at the United States' southern border to the Jewish being imprisoned in concentration camps.

But make no mistake — Carano is already on to the next endeavor. "The Daily Wire is helping make one of my dreams — to develop and produce my own film — come true." she gushed. And it appears she intends on leaving her career at Disney and what she refers to as her "cancellation" in the rearview mirror. "I am sending out a direct message of hope to everyone living in fear of cancellation by the totalitarian mob," she said. "I have only just begun using my voice which is now freer than ever before, and I hope it inspires others to do the same. They can't cancel us if we don't let them."
