The Truth About Olivia Colman's Husband

Olivia Colman is one of the U.K.'s most loved and talented actresses who has many accolades to boast about. Aside from winning an Academy Award, three British Academy Television Awards, a British Academy Film Award, three Golden Globe Awards, and four British Independent Film Awards, she has also been honored with a CBE medal that was given to her by Princess Anne at Buckingham Palace, per BBC.

Along with her very successful career, Colman has been happy with her husband, Ed Sinclair, for over 20 years. According to Hello! magazine, the couple tied the knot in 2001. They were first introduced to each other in the 1990s when they were both students at Cambridge University, per Made for Mums. It has been reported that it was during a production of Alan Ayckbourn's Table Manners at Footlights Dramatic Club. In an interview with The Telegraph in 2013, Colman admitted it was love at first sight. "My husband and I were very lucky. We met when we had nothing and we loved each other then. So we were all right," she said. "We were 20 and he was also an actor. If you meet at that age then you're fine. For me it was thunderbolts straight away."

Ed Sinclair also has a career in the acting world

Olivia Colman's husband, Ed Sinclair, also works in the world of acting. According to Pure Wow, he studied law at Cambridge University but later on realized he wanted to pursue a career as a writer. Like Colman, he knows what it's like to be in front of the camera as he played the role of Michael the butler in the 2005 BBC series Look Around You. His upcoming screenplay, Landscapers, will star Colman and is set to be a four-part series. As reported by the Royal Television Society, the filming process is scheduled to start in 2021. Sinclair might be lower profile than his wife, but it appears he likes it that way.

The couple have three children together, whom they like to keep fairly private. In 2005, Colman gave birth to their first son, Finn Sinclair. Two years later, they welcomed another son, Hall Sinclair. In 2015, Coleman had a daughter, whose name has yet to be shared with the public, per Made for Mums. According to Heavy, Colman was pregnant with her daughter while filming The Night Manager.
