Inside Kim And Kroy Biermann's Battle With COVID-19

President Joe Biden announced on March 2, 2021 that he believes there will be enough coronavirus vaccines available "for every adult in America by the end of May," per NPR. The announcement came just days after Johnson & Johnson's coronavirus vaccine became the third approved in the U.S.A. Despite the progress in fighting COVID-19, it still remains a major threat to Americans, as the death toll has surpassed 500,000 people and continues to grow, as of this writing.

Despite generally having more resources to obtain COVID-19 tests and more help in day-to-day activities like grocery shopping, celebrities have not been able to stay clear of the virus, either. In 2020, several stars even died, including celebrity chef and international restaurateur Floyd Cardoz, Tony Award winner Terrence McNally, and country singer Joe Diffie. Even more caught the virus: Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson, Ellen DeGeneres, former President Donald Trump and first lady Melania Trump, and several others.

Now, celebrity couple Kim and Kroy Biermann have added their name to that list by speaking out about their diagnosis. Here's an inside look at the Bravo stars' battle with COVID-19.

Kim and Kroy Biermann are staying positive through their positive COVID-19 diagnosis

Former The Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kim Biermann revealed on March 2, 2021 that she and husband Kroy Biermann were in the midst of battling COVID-19. "Hubby and I tested + for Covid A few days ago! Been a hell of a ride!" Kim wrote on her Instagram Story, along with a photo of herself and Kroy in a doctor's office hooked up to IVs, per Page Six. "Very thankful for our Dr's and a HUGE thank you to [Chris Tuff] for keeping us healthy and Piedmont Infusion Center as well THANK YOU SO MUCH!!" she continued. "You guys rock! Thank you for all you do. My nurses were absolutely phenomenal."

Unfortunately, this isn't the first time Kim and Kroy have been personally affected by coronavirus. Their daughter, Brielle, tested positive for COVID-19 earlier this year. Just like her famous mom, Brielle also revealed her diagnosis via an Instagram Story. "I've had covid (still recovering but I'm doing good today!!)" she announced on Jan. 13, 2021, as reported by People. Brielle also thanked Kroy – who adopted her and sister Ariana after he married their mother in 2011 (via People) — for bringing her sweet treats while she was recovering. "Shoutout to Kroy who has been delivering me my necessities at the stairs. He's been bringing me all my clothes and food. He even brought me milk and cookies the other night."

Now, it looks like it might be Brielle's turn to take care of her parents.
