Bethenny Frankel Opens Up About Her Engagement

Bethenny Frankel is engaged to her beau Paul Bernon! The former Real Housewives of New York star has confirmed the news by way of an interview with Extra that ran on March 29, 2021. Rumors that Bethenny was engaged to Paul first started circulating after she was spotted wearing a massive, emerald-cut engagement ring during a trip to Florida in March 2021. At the time, Page Six posted photos of Bethenny on the beach — and one of those photos was a close-up of the ring, which sent fans into an absolute frenzy. The stunning bauble is said to be worth more than $1 million, diamond expert Michelle Demaree previously told Nicki Swift. And now we know, it is an engagement ring!

In her interview with Extra, Frankel opened up about her engagement — and even talked a bit about her future wedding. Is she planning on tying the knot in New York? Is she excited for the future with her husband-to-be? Keep on reading to find out what Bethenny had to say.

Bethenny Frankel is 'very excited' about her engagement

Some fans may not know this, but Bethenny Frankel and Paul Bernon briefly split in 2020, according to People magazine. "We've had a great, great relationship and I'm really happy. Not everything has to end badly, some things just don't continue and it's not negative, it's just life," Bethenny told the outlet at the time. A few months later, however, she and Paul reconciled, according to E! News. Apparently everything had been bigger and better the second time around, so much so that Paul proposed! Jenn Lahmers from Extra caught up with Bethenny and congratulated her. "Thank you. I'm very excited, and it's really wonderful," Bethenny responded.

When asked about where she was planning to tie the knot — specifically whether or not she'd say "I do" in New York, Bethenny shared that she doesn't know. "I'm not sure. I mean, I love New York. I'm not sure," she said. And, while she's about to become a "housewife" again, Bethenny has no intentions of returning to Real Housewives of New York. "I don't really believe in going backwards. I don't want to go back on 'Housewives.' It's not where I am right now. I respect that I came from there... I'm moving forward," she said, adding that she's got a new show called The Big Shot with Bethenny that will be coming out on HBO Max.
