There are a lot of memorable shows that bring us back to the early 2000s, but one show that we all never seemed to get over is Zoey 101. The show first aired on Nickelodeon in 2005 and instantly became a hit with its target demographic. Zoey 101 lasted four seasons up until May 2008 — eight months after the show's staff found out that Jamie Lynn Spears was expecting a child. Although the show ultimately didn't end because of Spears' pregnancy, many people feel they haven't gotten the closure they need from the series finale.

The real reason why Alexa Nikolas stepped back from the limelight
After leaving Zoey 101, Alexa Nikolas took a step back from the limelight. Per Insider, Nikolas took on guest roles in shows such as The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, Supernatural, and Criminal Minds. Nikolas' last role roles were in 2013 on Mad Men and The Walking Dead. Since leaving Zoey 101, things haven't been the easiest for Nikolas. The actor was previously married to Canadian singer-songwriter Michael Milosh of the band Rhye, per NPR. In March 2021, Nikolas broke her silence about her relationship with Milosh. In a series of Instagram posts, Nikolas accused the singer of domestic violence and sexual assault. She also claims Milosh groomed her as a minor.
Milosh later released a statement addressing his ex-wife's claims. "I reiterate that these accusations are outrageously false and the manipulated stories provably untrue," Milosh said (via NPR). "I'm fully prepared to cooperate with any independent investigation into these false claims and look forward to being cleared of all the shameless mirrors."
As of this writing, Nikolas is currently in a relationship with Michael Gay, and the couple welcomed their first child together in November 2020.
