Kylie Jenner Just Donated 500K For This Cause

Kylie Jenner is doing quite well. The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star is said to be worth a whopping $700 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth, meaning she has plenty of cash to be able to help those in need. However, she caught some heat in March 2021 when she shared makeup artist Samuel Rauda's GoFundMe page on her social media, which was set up to help pay for his medical bills following a car accident. Kylie donated $5,000, though Twitter wasn't happy to see the star asking her fans to donate to the cause for Rauda — who she previously worked with — when she has so much money.

She addressed the backlash on her Instagram Story, per Buzzfeed, telling her followers that she wanted to "clear up this false narrative that [she's] asked for money and am not paying for [her] makeup artist's medical bills." In a lengthy message, Kylie clarified that they "don't have a personal relationship anymore," but called him the "sweetest." She shared that she donated $5,000, which ensured he got his initial goal of $10,000, and posted it online in order to "raise more awareness if anyone also felt compelled to share and donate." The goal has since been raised to $120,000 and the page has raised more than $101,700.

Following the controversy, Kylie is showing off her generous side again.

Kylie's supporting her friend with her latest donation

Kylie Jenner donated $500,000 to create a hospital lounge for teenage cancer patients at the Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt in Nashville, Tenn., according to Page Six. The outlet reported the facility is called the "Hey, I'm Here For You Teen Lounge" and is totally state-of-the-art, with Kim Kardashian's younger sister giving the amount alongside cash from The Who's Roger Daltrey and Pete Townshend's charity, Teen Cancer America.

Per Page Six, Kylie "donated the funds to support her friend, singer-songwriter Harry Hudson — who was diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma in 2017." The lounge is named after his 2020 album and his own charity, and offers a safe, chill space for young people where they can play video games, watch TV, and meditate.

A source revealed that Kylie "sat with Harry through his chemo treatments," so she knew that there "was a great need to give more emotional support to teenagers and keep them hopeful and inspired during the process." Hudson also shared how much the reality star's support has meant to him, saying in a statement, "I am so grateful for Kylie's friendship and the impact she's had on my life and my cancer journey ... She has always been there for me, and together, we wanted to figure out a way to be there for other young people who are battling this disease."

We love seeing stars do good!
