The Real Reason Kari Wells Left Married To Medicine

Prominent Atlantan doctor's wife Kari Wells first burst on to the Bravo scene in 2013 during the first season of the reality series Married to Medicine. Unfortunately for her, however, Kari's reality TV stint proved to be short and maybe not-so sweet.

Per Bravo Kari left the series after only one season, though she has returned to the show for brief "friend of" roles. "I am really enjoying this stage of my life. I am super busy as always with my work and home life," Kari said about her life after time in the spotlight (via Bravo). "I still have a hectic travel schedule and I am happy to still be working with the girl's mentorship program 'Girl Power and Emerging Women,' of which I serve on the board. I also have various speaking engagements and charity events that I am working with, so I have little down time," she added.

But many were quick to speculate that perhaps Kari didn't exactly leave on her own accord. Keep reading after the jump to learn the deets surrounding Kari's departure from Married to Medicine.

Mariah Huq denies that she had anything to do with Kari Wells leaving 'Married to Medicine'

Following Kari Wells' untimely exit from Married to Medicinerumors immediately started swirling that it might have been a result of the on-air camera feud between Kari and former fellow cast mate and executive producer, Mariah Huq.

"We fell out over the way she treated me, before, during and after our husbands' birthday party, the way she treated the staff who worked that night and many others who she came into contact with. The lies, the drama and her inability to forgive and move on from the events that unfolded," Kari penned in a Bravo blog about the animosity between the former friends.

Mariah, however, was quick to defend herself against the rumors, taking her to her own cast blog in an effort to clear her name. "Although I am one of the producers, I don't make the final decision on creative content, contrary to popular opinion," Mariah wrote before adding, "But never doubt that I'm behind-the-scenes trying to portray Atlanta women in a positive light. Southern women may occasionally stumble, but rest assured that we know how to pick ourselves up and RISE!"

If you're a Kari fan, be sure to tune into Season 8 as Kari will once again be making an appearance on the series as a "friend of," per Bravo.
