Dave Chappelle Reveals What Celebrities Did In The White House Before Trump Moved In

You may recall the hubbub when former Trump press secretary Stephanie Grisham claimed the departing Obama administration left some not-so-pleasant notes for the incoming staff back in November 2019. According to NBC News, she alleged that notes reading, "you will fail" and "you aren't going to make it" were scattered around the White House in addition to leaving "every office filled with Obama books." However, former Obama aides quickly refuted her accusations including former national security adviser Susan Rice who tweeted, "This is another bald-faced lie."

Now, nearly two years later, it looks like we have finally found the culprit, or culprits, for the crude notes left behind for Donald Trump. During an appearance on Naomi Campbell's YouTube show, No Filter with Naomi, comedian Dave Chappelle revealed he knows who wrote the notes after he witnessed the authors in the act during the Obamas' farewell party two weeks before Trump's inauguration in January 2017. See what he said about who left the crude notes for the incoming administration.

Celebrities got a kick out of leaving 'dirty notes' for Trump

Although the notes left for the Trump administration were yet another instance used to divide our political parties, Dave Chappelle revealed that celebrities were the ones who had written the notes ahead of Barak Obama's departure from the White House.

"One of the last big parties the Obama's threw, now I'm not going to say these celebrities' names, but remember when the Trump administration moved in they said, 'the Obama staff left dirty notes for us?'" Chapelle asked Naomi Campbell on the April 6, 2021, episode of her No Filter with Naomi show. "I saw this happening. I'm not going to say who did it, but it was celebrities writing all this crazy s**t and putting them all over there. And I saw them doing it so when I saw that on the news I laughed real hard," the comedian recalled.

Although Chapelle didn't give up any names, both he and Campbell were in attendance at Obama's farewell shindig, which they described as the bash of the century. Several A-listers, who have notably spoken out about the Trump administration, were on the guest list, including Chrissy Teigen and John Legend, per Daily Mail. While we don't know for sure who the culprits were, we can only imagine what Teigen would have written.
