Why This Fox News Host Blames Meghan And Harry For Prince Philip's Death

Prince Philip's death sent shockwaves around the world. While his death did not come as quite a shock as the late Princess Diana's untimely death, it's still a tough pill to swallow. The royal family announced the sad news in a statement on April 9, 2021. "It is with deep sorrow that Her Majesty The Queen has announced the death of her beloved husband, His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. His Royal Highness passed away peacefully this morning at Windsor Castle." His death came just two months before his 100th birthday.

The royal family also shared the news on their official Twitter account, and fans have given the post an outpouring of love and support. "they were so cute together. There was just a section on about the hidden videos of the queen and him right before they announced his death. So sad rip," one fan commented about his relationship with Queen Elizabeth alongside a series of doves. "I am speechless. I was very found of HRH, an extraordinary gentleman, a man of integrity and respect," a second Twitter user wrote. "May his heart and spirit rest in peace. His journey doesn't end here. See you on the other side Sir. Watch over your loved ones. You will be deeply missed."

A few others pointed the blame at other members of the royal family. Keep scrolling for more.

Brian Kilmeade had some words for Meghan and Harry

While most people have been remembering Prince Philip with poignant words, a few others have blamed Meghan Markle and Prince Harry for his death, including Fox & Friends host Brian Kilmeade. PerĀ The Daily Beast, the Fox host linked Prince Philip's death to Meghan and Harry's March 2021 interview with Oprah Winfrey, blaming them for his death. "There are reports that [Philip] was enraged after the interview and the fallout from the interview with Oprah Winfrey, so here he is trying to recover and he's hit with that," he said on the show on April 9, 2021.

Kilmeade also brought up Piers Morgan, who exited Great Morning Britain following backlash for calling criticizing the interview. "Piers Morgan was saying on his morning show, which he famously walked off of, is like 'Really?'" he said. "Your grandfather is in the hospital, you know he's not doing well, is this really the time you have to put out this interview?' Evidently, it definitely added to his stress."

It comes as no surprise that Twitter users took to the social media platform to slam the host for his accusations. "Fox News already blaming Meghan and Prince Harry, after the British Royal Family announced that 99yrs old Prince Philip died after a 'preexisting heart condition' ... Brian Kilmeade says his source is Piers Morgan," one fan tweeted.

As of this writing, the royal family has not responded to the allegations.
