The Truth About Jack From The Circle
If you spend a lot of time watching Netflix (or just reality TV in general), then you have probably come across The Circle, a dating competition show where contestants are isolated from each other in the same building. They can do whatever they want from their social media profiles (even catfish) to win the $100,000 grand prize, according to TV Line.
One may think combining social media and reality TV would fall flat, but reviews came in hot for Season 1. Emma Stefansky of Thrillist is a fan, saying, "What's been most fun about watching this show is seeing, in real time, the players decide for themselves what it takes to charm strangers and get the furthest in The Circle." Estelle Tang of Vogue called it "surprisingly relaxing and life-affirming."
Season 2 of The Circle premiered on Netflix on April 15, 2021. Keep reading for more details about one of the new faces to join the competition, contestant Jack Atkins.
Jack Atkins created another identity on The Circle
Jack Atkins is taking the catfishing route for Season 2 of The Circle, according to Bustle. The 20-year-old wants to play a "strategic, cutthroat and manipulative game," per the outlet. He joined The Circle as Emily, a 21-year-old sorority girl. "She's cute, short, sweet, easy to talk to. Everyone's gonna love her," Jack said. "I think people will be like, 'That's a face I can trust.'"
In order to create this new persona, Jack watched a lot of "chick flicks" and Selling Sunset. He calls himself the "ultimate wolf in sheep's clothing" and will do whatever he has to do to win the $100,000 grand prize. "When it comes to strategy, there's no f**ks given," he said. "Morals get outta here. I don't wanna see ya."
When Jack is not creating alternate identities online, he appears to be a typical college student at the University of Chicago. He is set to graduate in 2022, according to his Instagram.
