How William And Kate Paid Tribute To Philip After Emotional Funeral

Prince William And Kate Middleton paid a loving tribute to Prince Philip after his funeral on April 17. The message from the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge was particularly moving, but it was not the only memorial the couple has published about Philip.

A few days before the funeral, the Duke of Cambridge honored his grandfather on Instagram. William posted a sweet photo of Prince Philip and Prince George to the Kensington Royal Instagram account, with a heartfelt message. The Kensington Royal Instagram caption read, "My grandfather's century of life was defined by service – to his country and Commonwealth, to his wife and Queen, and to our family. I feel lucky to have not just had his example to guide me, but his enduring presence well into my own adult life – both through good times and the hardest days. I will always be grateful that my wife had so many years to get to know my grandfather and for the kindness he showed her." William's message continued, "I will never take for granted the special memories my children will always have of their great-grandpa coming to collect them in his carriage and seeing for themselves his infectious sense of adventure as well as his mischievous sense of humour!"

Prince William honored his grandfather's devotion

After Prince Philip's funeral, Prince William and Kate Middleton took to social media to honor the Duke of Edinburgh and remember his devotion to his wife, Queen Elizabeth.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge published their message on the Kensington Royal Instagram with the caption, "The Duke of Edinburgh was a devoted consort to Her Majesty The Queen for nearly 70 years, from Her Majesty's Accession in 1952 until his death. Today's ceremony was a reflection of The Duke's military affiliations and personal elements of His Royal Highness's life. It's no secret Prince William adored his grandfather.
