Dua Lipa Has Already Started Thinking About Her Third Album. Here's What She's Revealed

Dua Lipa is one of the U.K.'s most successful singers of today and has been taking the world by storm. The "New Rules" hitmaker has achieved so much in the past five years and does not have any plans to slow down any time soon.

In 2020, Lipa release her highly anticipated second studio album, Future Nostalgia, which took the British star's career to new heights. So far, the record has peaked at No. 3 on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart and No. 1 in the U.K. Lipa kicked off the era with the infectious "Don't Start Now" and has since collaborated with DaBaby, Gwen Stefani, and Madonna on various songs.

At the 2021 Grammy Awards, Lipa was nominated for an impressive six awards and took home Best Pop Vocal Album for Future Nostalgia. To date, Lipa has won three golden trophies at the ceremony. At this year's BRIT Awards, Lipa has earned herself three more nominations, one of which is for Album of the Year, per The Guardian.

Dua Lipa's Future Nostalgia may have been released just a little more than a year ago, but she has already started to think about what her third album will sound like. According to Music News, Lipa did an interview with BBC Radio 2 and explained what she hopes to achieve with her next release.

"I've started thinking a little bit. But I guess still playing around trying to see what my next direction or step is," she said. "It feels good, I am excited. I just hope I grow and mature as an artist and just make music that people enjoy and resonates with them and makes them happy."

On the same show, Lipa also teased her upcoming BRIT Awards performance. "The theme is London. It's a little bit of a taste of everything. I am really rubbish at talking in code so I will stop there before I make a mess of it," the "Break My Heart" chart-topper revealed. We are ready. For the performance AND all the new music!
