The Truth About The Bachelorette's Bao Wu

One of the men who will be trying to win Katie Thurston's final rose on Season 17 of The Bachelorette is Bao Wu. Fans are buzzing over this particular contestant and it seems there is a lot to like about him.

As The Bachelorette fans learned when Matt James' season of The Bachelor ended, Katie will lead Season 17, which is set to air in June 2021. Usually, one season of The Bachelorette airs each year. However, ABC decided to make an exception in 2021. Katie has a full season to herself, but Michelle Young will get a chance to find love via reality television too. Michelle was also on Matt's season and she's set to film her journey in the summer of 2021.

On top of that, it is anticipated that there will be a season of Bachelor in Paradise squeezed in over the summer as well. That means that some of Katie's castoffs could get a second shot at finding the love of their life in front of television cameras. If Bao doesn't snag Katie's final rose, could he be a hot commodity on Bachelor in Paradise?

Bao Wu's quite the family guy

Bachelorette contestant contestant Bao Wu has shared plenty of fun details about his life on Instagram. He lives in San Diego, Calif., and is a "dad" to a cat named Bucky and a pup named Juno. His Instagram bio notes that he loves animals, nutrition, and fitness. Additionally, boxing is a specific interest of his. As of this writing, Bo is 36 years old and works in real estate, according to a Twitter post from Bachelor Nation spoiler king Reality Steve.

A bio for Bao on The Chi Team website notes that he has more than a decade of experience in commercial real estate. His Instagram bio details that he's interested in both real estate and stocks, and it turns out he has an MBA from Duke University Fuqua School of Business in finance. In glancing at his Instagram page, it's clear Bao's quite close to his parents and loves travel.

In May 2019, he shared a gorgeous photo showing him with his mom at Horseshoe Bend in Arizona. For her birthday in September 2018, he revealed he'd taken her horseback riding along the beach. Additionally, for his parents' 34th wedding anniversary in December 2017, he detailed on Instagram he got them a hot-air balloon ride.

Could Bao sweep Katie off her feet and fill her life with grand gestures like these? Bachelorette fans will just have to tune in to see.
