Celebs Who Spent A Fortune Changing Their Looks

Celebs often spend ridiculous amounts of money on cars, houses, and clothes, but those price tags can pale in comparison to the money they spend on making sure they maintain their youthful appearances. Hundreds of thousands of dollars go to personal trainers, dietitians, and cosmetics to help preserve a star's flawless image, but some are also willing to go under the knife—and pay top dollar—to fight the clock.

Lil' Kim

Lil' Kim has potentially had so much work done to her face that celebrity plastic surgeon Dr. Gary Breslow actually believes she may be addicted to plastic surgery.

"Personally, I think she should seek professional help," said Breslow, who has not actually treated Lil' Kim (via Page Six). "She's going to end up destroying her face if she continues... Based on how much work it appears she's had done, and how drastically she continues to change her appearance, I would think she has a problem and needs to seek professional help." He added that signs of plastic surgery addiction include "seeking excessive numbers of cosmetic procedures for a given body area with lack of satisfaction for what others would see as a good result."

Breslow estimated that the pint-size rapper spent $20,000 to $25,000 on cheek fillers, a chin implant, rhinoplasty, lip augmentation, and skin bleaching.

So far the only surgeries the MC has admitted to are two nose jobs (for a sad reason): She told Hot 97 in 2005 that she was in an abusive relationship and her then-boyfriend broke her nose.

Jocelyn Wildenstein

Socialite Jocelyn Wildenstein earned a reputation as "Catwoman" for her extensive plastic surgeries, which left her looking, well, like a hybrid of a human and a feline. The Mirror reported that she's admitted to spending more than $6.7 million on plastic surgeries, and she told the tab she'd be open to getting more work done.

"I've said to myself I'll continue for the next ten years and then I may stop," she said. "It is not an addiction that I have but I am not adverse to having more work. I would happily have more if I felt I needed it. Why not? If I reach my nineties, who knows? I may one day be the oldest person in the world to have cosmetic surgery."

Hey, at least she has goals.

Vivica A. Fox

Stunner Vivica A. Fox admitted to getting work done, which she somewhat regrets. "I'm not doing any more of that plastic surgery crap," she told Upscale magazine (via the Mirror). "I'm not the first or the only one, but I'm the idiot that admitted to it. Now everyone says, 'That is her whole look.' I take care of myself."

The only procedures Fox has admitted to are breast implants and Botox injections, though the New York Daily News speculated that she's also had a nose job, which she did not confirm or deny.

Heidi Montag

Heidi Montag and husband Spencer Pratt blew threw a whopping $10 million they'd earned on MTV's The Hills, and a large portion of that cash went to Montag's plastic surgery obsession.

In 2010, she underwent two breast enlargements, a brow lift, a nose job, ear pinning, a chin shaving, cheek implants, liposuction, and had her back "scooped out," Radar Online reported. Montag later got her breast implants reduced because she was reportedly in pain all the time from how heavy her F-cups were, citing neck pain, muscular and spinal damage to her back, a ruptured disc in her neck, and pinched nerves in her arms, Entertainment Tonight reported.

Montag later admitted she was coerced into many of the procedures. "I really just went back in to get my nose reset and get a little bit larger of implants because I had been elbowed by a backup dancer in a music video that I was doing, and then I went in and was talking to my doctor and he just kind of diagnosed me and was like, 'You should get a chin reduction, and an eyebrow lift,'" she told The View (via Radar Online). "I didn't know what an eyebrow lift and a chin reduction was! So once he kind of told me everything that was wrong with me I felt really insecure, and he gave me a really great deal on it all. He didn't tell me how extensive it was going to be, how severe, how painful, so I had no idea."

Kim Kardashian

Kim Kardashian swears that aside from some Botox, she's never gotten any plastic surgery ever

Experts disagree: Radar Online speculated that she underwent at least one nose job circa 2011, as well as chin shaving, non-surgical rhinoplasty using fillers, and jaw surgery. Then there's her most famous asset: The Mirror reports that Kardashian likely used fat injections to get her infamous derriere, costing between $6,700 to $7,500. Her post-baby body after giving birth to daughter North is estimated to be at least partly due to fat transfer injections from her waist to her hips and butt, estimated at $20,000. Lasering her hairline, which she's actually admitted to doing, can cost anywhere from $350 to $1,000; her facial fillers are estimated to cost between $300 and $700 a pop and require upkeep at least once a year.

Sharon Osbourne

Sharon Osbourne has spent a ton of cash on plastic surgery, which she openly admits. It began with stomach-stapling surgery, after which she dropped pounds and had a ton of sagging skin, which she sought to correct. "I had liposuction on my neck and had it lifted, too. I had my breasts lifted, my arms lipo-ed and my tummy tucked. I had my bum lifted and implants inserted, and I had my legs lifted... The total cost was $160,000 and it was worth every last penny," she told Britain's Night and Day magazine (via Female First).

Osbourne later got her implants removed when she had a double mastectomy in 2012 and swore off plastic surgery, but a year later, she announced she'd undergone a vaginal tightening procedure.

Demi Moore

Radar Online reported that Demi Moore got breast implants, numerous facial filler procedures, liposuction, and even laser surgery on the skin of her knees, with The Daily Telegraph estimating her total cosmetic surgery costs to be close to $400,000. She admitted to Elle in 2014 (via Star) that she'd had work done to her body, but not to her face.

Rumer Willis

Moore's daughter, Rumer Willis, has reportedly taken after her mom in terms of surgical procedures.

A source told the National Enquirer, "Rumer's been to see Demi's plastic surgeon...and since she's always finding flaws, she keeps going back. So far she's had her nose thinned, her lips plumped, her forehead Botoxed and her teeth capped. She looks completely different from just a few years ago."

NeNe Leakes

The Real Housewives of Atlanta star NeNe Leakes doesn't mind talking about her plastic surgeries. She admitted to People in 2010 that she'd undergone a nose job, at least two breast augmentations (she had implants, then replaced them with smaller implants), a breast lift, a nose job, and liposuction at her waist.

She got a second nose job in 2016, explaining on Watch What Happens Live (via Us Weekly), "I had my nose done again... It was a real medical reason why I had to get it done again. My cartilage was growing in my nose, and my tip was touching the top of my lip." She added, "When I did the first time I only had my nostrils taken in on the side and this time I had more cartilage moved around. I didn't love my nose and I wanted to do my nose to make it more beautiful for myself."

Leakes' second nose job alone is estimated to have set her back $9,000 to $12,000.

Kris Jenner

Kris Jenner hasn't been too shy about sharing her plastic surgery stories with the world, even documenting a facelift on Keeping Up With the Kardashians. However, Kris' sister, Karen, told InTouch Weekly's Gossip Table (via the Daily Mail) that the Kardashian matriarch has had even more work done than she's admitted to publicly, including breast augmentations, and has spent upwards of $1 million on cosmetic procedures.

Caitlyn Jenner

Caitlyn Jenner's breast augmentation and facial surgeries have cost the transgender icon upwards of $5 million, OK! reported, with a source claiming Jenner "had at least three facelifts, several nose jobs, multiple breast procedures, brow lifts, jowl removal, vein removal, chemical peels, laser treatments, neck lifts and eye lifts." Jenner also goes for regular "tune ups," the source noted, adding, "Her last bill was nearly $60,000, and that was just for filler, Botox and laser work. She only goes to the best doctors, which doesn't come cheap."

Sir Tom Jones

Tom Jones admitted to the Mirror that he had so many surgeries on his handsome mug that his own doctor told him to stop. "He advised me against having anything else done," Jones said. "I went to see a plastic surgeon in Beverly Hills and he said, 'You've got to be careful with your lower eyes.' He told me, 'Your eyes will be bloody popping.' He said I should try to look as natural as I can... I've had some nips and tucks." The Daily Mail estimated that Jones spent close to $46,000 on procedures including a nose job, facelifts, and Botox.

Blac Chyna

After splitting from Rob Kardashian, the troubled reality star claimed his ex, Blac Chyna, was very surgically enhanced. In a blistering Instagram rant (via Hollywood Life), he claimed that he spent $100,000 for surgeries for Chyna as an anniversary gift, which apparently included a butt reduction, weight loss surgery, and a breast augmentation.

Michael Jackson

The late Michael Jackson admitted to having two rhinoplasties so he could breath better and "hit highter notes," but nothing more on his face.

According to Allure, some insiders claim the "Man in the Mirror" singer had a lot of work done, including procedures to define and add a cleft to his chin, skin bleaching to treat his vitiligo, tattooed eyebrows, permanent lip tinting, filler injections, and surgery on his eyes to widen them.

Dr. Pamela Lipkin, a surgeon specializing in rhinoplasty, told ABC News she thought Jackson's nose underwent so much work that it became "an end-stage nose, a crucified nose, one that's beyond the point of no return."

David Gest

David Gest blamed Jackson for his own plastic surgery obsession.

"I had surgery when I was very young and it was the stupidest thing I've ever done, Gest told The Sun. "Michael Jackson kept saying, 'You should have plastic surgery.' I got my nose done and he said, 'Do more, do more.' It was stupid. If I had my way I'd go back to my original big nose with a bit of a hook in it. It looked great."

Gest added, "I went for it in grand style—even though I have a huge ego I have always felt I was never good-looking—so I got a nose job, cheek bone implants, a second nose job, even bigger cheek implants, and the removal of those cheek implants when I ended up looking like a chipmunk! After each operation Michael would always come over to my apartment in Beverly Hills and look after me. He would play me music, make peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and burn the toast unmercifully."

Janet Jackson

Janet Jackson is fiercely private, so no one really knows what procedures she may or may not have had done over time. However, experts speculated to Radar Online that Miss Jackson ('cause we're "Nasty") may have had at least one nose job, cheek implants, and eyelid surgery to widen her sultry gaze.

La Toya Jackson

La Toya Jackson looks a lot like her late brother Michael, bit that's not necessarily because of their genes.

A source told the National Enquirer, "La Toya's nose has collapsed, just like her brother Michael's did. La Toya is in denial over how she's butchered her once-beautiful face and body. She already has breathing problems, but she's quick to blame them on allergies or poor air quality." Experts also speculated that she had surgery on her chin.

Joan Rivers

Joan Rivers underwent a whopping 348 plastic surgeries throughout her life, daughter Melissa Rivers revealed in her book, The Book of Joan: Tales of Mirth, Mischief and Manipulation (via News.au). Joan's first procedure is speculated to have been an eyelid lift at age 32, followed by at least two facelifts, one nose job, and a slew of Botox. Joan even wrote a book on the topic called Men Are Stupid...And They Like Big Boobs.

Tori Spelling

Tori Spelling has admitted to getting a nose job in her youth, but she's been somewhat quiet about the rest of her surgical upkeep. Spelling is speculated to have undergone chemical peels and laser treatments on her skin, which OK! claims she regrets. Spelling also confessed previously to getting breast implants, which she also regretted because it made breastfeeding difficult.

Janice Dickinson

Janice Dickinson, the self-proclaimed "first supermodel" in America, has admitted to undergoing multiple surgeries, including breast implants (which she got repaired on Botched), facelifts, tummy tucks, neck lifts, and liposuction, Us Weekly reported.

"Janice has made no bones about how much plastic surgery she's had..." said Dr. Anthony Youn, who hasn't treated Dickinson (via Radar Online). "She's probably single handedly paid for her plastic surgeon's house!"

Mickey Rourke

Mickey Rourke reportedly underwent numerous facial plastic surgeries to correct injuries he suffered during his career as a boxer, but sources close to the actor claim there's more to his plastic surgeries than his pugilist past.

"He's hooked on surgery," a source told Page Six. "He wakes up in the morning and looks in the mirror and doesn't like what he sees." The source claimed Rourke was undergoing more procedures. "He's having bone taken from his hip grafted onto the roof of his mouth so that he can get new teeth implants," the source said. "Doctors are also taking bone from one of his ribs and using it to rebuild his nose."

Farrah Abraham

Teen Mom O.G. star Farrah Abraham got her first breast augmentation at 19, going from an A to a C cup for a cool $5,000, OK! reported. Next came a nose job and a chin implant in 2012, reportedly costing $21,000. According to the tabloid, she removed the chin implant a year later in 2013, when she also underwent a second breast augmentation to pump her C cup up to a D, as well as lip injections; in 2015, she got a third breast augmentation to correct complications from her second operation. In 2017, Abraham documented her vaginal rejuvenation surgery, because, well, how else was she going to get a discount on it?

Phyllis Diller

Late comedian Phyllis Diller admitted to People in 1992 that she underwent a breast reduction, a tummy tuck, dental surgeries, two nose jobs, cheek implants, a brow lift, an under-eye lift, and two facelifts, as well as chemical peels and facial fillers. "I used to be young and ugly," she cracked. "Now I'm old and gorgeous." The total cost of her procedures is estimated to be close to $50,000.

Pete Burns

Former Dead or Alive singer Pete Burns reportedly underwent a whopping 300 plastic surgeries throughout his life. His first procedure was rhinoplasty to repair a broken nose. Later, he got his lips augmented, which went horribly wrong when the fillers began spreading around his face, migrating to his eyes, cheeks, and even his Adam's apple and requiring a whopping 200 corrective procedures, Metro reported. Burns claimed he also had to excrete the filler from his kidneys and liver.

The Mirror reported that the extensive work left the singer bankrupt, despite winning a $611,000 settlement after a botched lip procedure.

Burns' surgeries were also linked to blood clots and pulmonary embolisms, leading to a 10-day hospitalization that nearly took his life. Just weeks later, in October 2016, he died from a heart attack at age 57.

Cher

Cher has been candid about her plastic surgeries, which she said she began in 1985 after seeing herself in the movie Mask (1985). She told People, "[I told myself], 'I can look better than this,'" and embarked on a nose job, dental surgery, breast enlargement, and later, a series of facelifts. Estimated to have spent $750,000 on surgeries throughout her life, the "If I Could Turn Back Time" singer doesn't care how you feel about her appearance or her choices, once sassing, "You know, if I want to put my t**s on my back, they're mine."

Iggy Azalea

Pop star Iggy Azalea looked dramatically different when she debuted her new nose and breasts at the Billboard Music Awards in May 2014, and her plastic surgeon was eager to divulge the details of exactly what he did to make her look like that.

"Her breasts were super small and super wide apart, so I wanted to bring them towards the middle and give her a lot more cleavage, but not go too big where it looks obvious," Dr. Ashkan Ghavami told People. "When you have small breasts and you have thin skin above it, when you go too big they look like balls, so I wanted to create as natural shape as possible, but give her enough size to proportion her tall, big-hipped frame. I wanted to proportion her out without making her look top-heavy or getting in the way of dancing."

As for her rhinoplasty, Dr. Ghavami said, "Her nose had a really weird shape to it. The tip was very twisted and very wide and boxy, so I had to do a lot of tip shaping to narrow and refine her tip without it looking done. She had a tiny hump that I reduced, and also she was very deviated and had blockage for breathing, so we really killed four birds with one stone."

Dolly Parton

Country legend Dolly Parton has few qualms about sharing her plastic surgery experiences. "Anybody that's got the nerve, desire and the money to have surgery, should find a good doctor and just do it." she told InTouch Weekly in 2014, noting that she's had breast implants, liposuction, under-eye work, fillers, and Botox, as well as removed "the pelican pouch" under her chin. "These days, I do very little—just fillers and Botox," she said. "You owe it to people not to look like a dog if you can help it!"
