What's Really Going On With Tiffany And Ronald From 90 Day Fiance?

The "90 Day Fiancé" franchise is often train-wreck television that's impossible to look away from. We're rooting for the couples to succeed against the odds stacked against them. Tiffany Franco and Ronald Smith joined the "90 Day Fiancé" franchise in 2019 as one of the couples on the spinoff series, "90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way," which follows Americans that move overseas to be with their fiance.

Tiffany met Ronald while she was traveling in South Africa. She returned sometime later with her then eight-year-old son Daniel to marry Ronald. Originally, the couple planned to move back to the U.S. but Ronald had some skeletons in his closet (a criminal record) that made that difficult. They got married and Tiffany pretty quickly became pregnant, ScreenRant reported. Tiffany gave birth to their daughter Carley Rose in July 2019.

Tiffany eventually made the decision to return to the U.S. because she felt like South Africa wasn't safe for her son. She also wasn't thrilled to learn her new husband had a gambling addiction she failed to tell him about, YourTango reported.

In January 2020, the couple released statements announcing they'd split up, per Screen Rant. Ronald accused Tiffany of cheating. She called him toxic. Then, of course, the coronavirus pandemic hit.

Since then, there have been developments. What's going on with Tiffany and Ronald from "90 Day Fiancé" these days?

Tiffany and Ronald spent the holidays together

During their months apart, it seems that Tiffany and Ronald were able to work through their trust issues got back together, Screen Rant reports.

In May 2020, Tiffany and Ronald appeared on "90 Day Fiancé: Self Quarantined" and announced that they were going to marriage counseling and they applied for a spousal visa for Ronald to move to the U.S. It can take up to two years to go through this process, InTouch reported. The coronavirus pandemic has further slowed that process down.

By October 2020, Tiffany was posting (since deleted) gushing messages to her husband on social media. "On this day my man ... even though you're sleeping, I wanna show you off for a second," she captioned a photo on their wedding anniversary (via InTouch). "No words for you and the craziness between us, the highs, the lows, the easy middle parts ... you stole my heart and never gave it back. I love you my crazy *ss man!"

In late December, Tiffany and her children traveled to South Africa to spend Christmas with Ronald as a family. She took to her Instagram to share sweet snaps of her kids together. She shared a (since deleted) photo of the four of them together (via Screen Rant), captioning it: "Family."

Here's hoping things work out for Tiffany and Ronald and we get to watch them on "90 Day 90 Fiancé: Happily Ever After."
