Married At First Sight Alum Cortney Hendrix Has Happy News To Share
Cortney Hendrix first came to our attention during the very first season of "Married at First Sight." She and her now ex-husband and "MAFS "match Jason Carrion were trailblazers — in that first season, they had no idea what to expect. Cortney and Jason were married for five years, Us Weekly reports. Cortney and Jason finalized their divorce in early 2019. They announced their split in an Instagram post.
Cortney married her current husband, Sherm, in an intimate ceremony in North Carolina in October 2020, according to People. Cortney and Sherm took COVID-19 seriously during their wedding, People reported. They only invited 30 people and asked them to self-quarantine and have a Covid test before the wedding.
Like Cortney, Sherm went through a difficult divorce before meeting the "MAFS" alum and falling in love. But since their wedding, Cortney and Sherm have experienced loss, losing three grandfathers on both sides over a period of fewer than six months, Us Weekly reports. Now, though, the couple has very happy news to share!
And baby makes three...or four including Queso the dog
Cortney Hendrix is expecting her first child! It's extra special to her after losing her grandfather. "The last thing I was able to tell my grandfather before he went to heaven in March was that we were having a baby," the reality star said to Us Weekly. "This blessing of life really felt like God showing us, 'Hey, I'm with you,' and illustrating the circle of life."
This pregnancy is even more special for Cortney because she suffers from endometriosis and she wasn't sure whether she would be able to conceive a child naturally. "As long as I can remember, I've dreamt of being a mother," Cortney said to the magazine, but she always carried the fear that she may not be able to.
Cortney shared with The List in March 2021 that she and Sherm were "actively trying" for a baby, and the couple is overflowing with happiness about the pregnancy. We're wishing Cortney, Sherm, Queso the Golden Retriever, and their baby-to-be the best of luck!
