How Much Is Paulina Porizkova Actually Worth?

Czech-American supermodel Paulina Porizkova is a woman of many talents and has achieved an impressive career spanning more than 30 years.

According to HuffPost, at 18 years of age, she became the first Central European woman to grace the cover of Sports Illustrated magazine's swimsuit issue. Of course, the covers didn't stop there. Porizkova also appeared on the front of various Vogue magazine issues around the globe.

In 1987, she made her film debut and starred in the big screen movie "Anna," and has since secured herself roles in "Her Alibi," "Female Perversions," and "Thursday," to name a few. In 2008, she became a judge on Tyra Banks' "America's Next Top Model" reality show and played herself in "Desperate Housewives." Porizkova is also an author and has released two books — "A Model Summer" and "The Adventures of Ralphie the Roach," per Publishers Weekly.

Since rising to fame, the entrepreneur married Cars frontman Ric Ocasek and had two sons with him, who she split from in 2008, per Daily Mail. In 2019, Ocasek died at the age of 75 after suffering from hypertensive and atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease, according to Variety. At the time of his death, the musician was worth an astonishing $40 million, per Celebrity Net Worth. But how does Porizkova's net worth compare? Keep reading to find out.

Paulina Porizkova is also a millionaire, like her ex-husband

Paulina Porizkova might not be worth as much as her deceased husband Ric Ocasek, but she's still a wealthy woman. According to Celebrity Net Worth, she is worth a whopping $10 million, as of 2020. As reported by the outlet, the supermodel signed a contract with makeup brand Estée Lauder that secured her $6 million annually until 1995.

While it's safe to say that Porizkova isn't penniless, there have been times where she has struggled financially. After the death of Ocasek, it was revealed that he had cut her out of his will. In a 2021 conversation with UBS' Paula Polito, Porizkova explained that she still had access to his money when they split in 2018. However, when Ocasek died, she learned that she was left with no money after he claimed that Porizkova had "abandoned" him, per Daily Mail.

"I got two mortgaged houses and the pension, but no way to pay for anything," she said. "So obviously things had to be sold, but until they got sold, I had nothing to live on. I literally went through a year of asking my friends to buy us groceries. It was not a good position to be in."

In September 2020, Porizkova sold the Gramercy Park townhouse the couple shared for over 30 years for $10 million. According to Celebrity Net Worth, the property was purchased by the duo for $2.5 million in 1989. In January 2019, it was originally listed for $15.3 million.
