The Truth About Audrina Patridge's Ex-Husband

"The Hills" star Audrina Patridge and Corey Bohan welcomed daughter Kirra Max in June 2016. They said their "I do's" that November, but their romance was short-lived. The reality star filed for divorce after an "alleged violent outburst" in 2017, according to People. Audrina also obtained a temporary restraining order, per Page Six, that required Bohan to stay 100 feet away from her and their daughter. The divorce was finalized the following December.

It appears that Audrina and Bohan have struggled to co-parent and find common ground following their split. "The biggest struggle with coparenting is probably getting the other parent to agree with you for something that your daughter wants to do, whether it be going to preschool or something that she wants to do, but they don't want her to do it," she told Us Weekly in August 2019. Oy.

Things seem to have only gotten worse since then. According to a 2020 report from People, Bohan reportedly asked Audrina for child support "after losing his job as a bartender" due to California's stay-at-home orders. At the time, he wasn't receiving unemployment benefits and claimed the reality star "earns significantly higher income" than him. So who is Bohan besides from just another Hollywood ex? Keep reading for more details.

Ex-husband Corey Bohan is a BMX star

So, what should fans of Audrina Patridge know about ex-husband Corey Bohan? He is a talented BMX athlete, for one thing. According to Marie Claire, Bohan has made plenty of appearances at the X Games and made history as the "first motorcross rider to win the BMX dirt portion of the competition three years in a row." His Australian background earned him the nickname of "Wizard of Aus," and he reportedly landed a sponsorship with Red Bull which saw him starring in a YouTube series talking about the adrenaline-filled sport.

Bohan briefly traded in his bike for the spotlight when he appeared in a few episodes of "The Hills" spinoff, "Audrina." The 2011 series focused on his now ex-wife's life after "The Hills," and touched on her family. Fans got a front-row seat for their relationship as they tried to deal with the increased fame while still keeping their love alive. They allegedly broke up on camera in 2011, but it was nothing like their divorce in 2018. As Bohan wrote on Instagram, per The Blast, after the split and amidst abuse allegations towards his daughter, "I don't live a life distorted for television or entertainment purposes. I live one life based in sincerity, respect and the utmost love for my daughter."

It seems that Bohan has largely remained out of the spotlight, and has not commented on the new season of "The Hills: New Beginnings." Maybe that's for the best.
