The Truth About Nema Vand's Relationship With Meghan Markle

Uh oh! It looks like "Shahs of Sunset" star Nema Vand has a rather sordid past with none other than former royal, Meghan Markle

As reported by Us Weekly, in June 2020, the reality TV star opened up about publicly recalling what he thought was a "fun and cutesy" story involving an old friend of his and Meghan on an episode of fellow reality star Scheana Shay's podcast, "Scheananigans". Alas, he was very, very wrong.

"So this has been a nightmare for me and I'm not even going to address it again 'cause it's been a nightmare," Nema bemoaned about his decision to publicly recount the personal anecdote. "I told an incidental story on 'Scheananigans' that I thought was fun and cutesy and then I retold the same story on another podcast because again, fun and cutesy, and in the back of my mind I'm like, 'This s**t's already been out there, I talked to Scheana about this.' And it went wild," he revealed.

But besides landing himself in some piping hot water with the former duchess and all of her many stans, what exactly is his connection to Meghan? Keep reading after the jump to find out!

Nema Vand claimed Meghan Markle 'ghosted' his friend

As reported by Us Weekly, Bravo star Nema Vand claimed that he grew up with Meghan Markle — ya know prior to her meeting her prince charming and being whisked off to Kensington Palace.

"My friend Gabe that I grew up with dated Meghan in high school, and he said that after she got on 'Suits' they were friends for years afterward," he dished during an episode of Scheana Shay's podcast. "And he was like, 'Yeah, she kind of, like, ghosted me after Suits,' and it, like, really hurt his feelings. I got the sense that Gabe really valued her friendship." He then jokingly implored a call of action to the duchess in the off chance that she might be listening. "If you hear this, reach out to Gabe. You know who that is."

While the anecdote proved to be an interesting tidbit for some, many Meghan Markle stans immediately crawled out of the woodwork clamoring for the chance to defend their queen's honor. "I learned my lesson. Don't f**k with the queen because it was ridiculous," before adding, "People get really crazy about Meghan Markle and in no way was I trying to disrespect Meghan Markle! It was a compliment to her. I was saying she was so sweet and kind."

Perhaps now Nema will keep the drama strictly between him and his "Shahs of Sunset" cast mates!
