How Tall Is Kevin Hart?

It might appear height was never a worry for Kevin Hart, for what he lacks in stature is made up with a big personality and soaring levels of confidence.

Throughout his illustrious career, Hart has starred in numerous comedy films — from "Scary Movie 3" to "Soul Plane" to "Ride Along" — and has many comedy specials in which he performs in front of thousands of raucous fans. And despite his small stature, Hart has bared the brunt of height jokes from fellow comedians and even so himself — confidently acknowledging his size and using it to his comedic advantage, eliciting big laughs from crowds all around the world. In doing so, Hart serves as an inspiration for those who may feel insecure about their height, and many have applauded him for practicing self-love.

With Hart's lighthearted humor and self-deprecation surrounding his height, this begs the question — how tall is Kevin Hart? Read on to find out!

The interesting way Kevin finally confirmed his height

According to CelebHeights.com, there was speculation Kevin Hart's was between 5-foot-2 and 5-foot-4 based on his previous tweets. However, in a 2019 interview with Vanity Fair, the comedian agreed to a lie detector test, and when questioned about his height, the results finally confirmed his actual measurements after years of speculation.

When asked if he was indeed 5-foot-2, Hart quickly retorted with an impassioned "absolutely not" — setting off the lie detector test in the process. The comedian then proceeded to plea with the interviewer that he was taller, all to no avail. Listing off heights from 5-foot-4 to 5-foot-2 ½, Hart tripped off the lie detector test numerous times before finally admitting he is indeed 5-foot-2, with the test finally showing no lies detected. The comedian also faced a poignant reflection when he admitted to being self-conscious about his appearance, despite years of self-deprecatingly laughing at his small stature.

However, that isn't to say, Hart's admission immediately reneges his past comments on self-love. Rather, it shows off a more human side to a comedian that millions have looked up to for years. With that said, what has Hart said in the past about his height? Let's take a look.

Kevin Hart embraces who he is

In a 2014 interview with Oprah Winfrey, Hart got asked, "How did you get so comfortable with your height?" — leading Hart into a powerful speech on the topic of embracing the hand you've been dealt.

"I'm confident in who I am," Hart noted while also mentioning he thinks he's "sexy" besides his "two ugly toes." Hart also stated that he does not believe in "doing things to manufacture my body to appeal to what I think people might like" and has accepted his fate regarding his height. "This is what I was given — this my playing card. When we playing poker, I got to make this hand work," Hart further reflected.

On a much lighter note, Hart — along with fellow actor and BFF Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson — partook in a humorous sit-down with JOE to discuss tall and short people, and the interview was as entertaining as you would expect from this power duo. When asked about the best things on "being small," Hart laughingly responded with "good clothes" and gave an important piece of advice to those who struggle with their body image: "It's okay, there's nothing that comes with being tall."
