Jennifer Lopez And Ben Affleck Are Moving Faster Than We Originally Thought

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck have rekindled their romance 17 years after they broke off their engagement. The on-again couple started seeing one another in April, just after Lopez ended her relationship with Alex Rodriguez. At the time, a source told Page Six that Lopez and Affleck were keeping things quiet. "Security picks him up at a nearby location and drops him off after spending a few hours at her house," the source said. A couple of weeks later, the two traveled to Montana together, spending some alone time at Affleck's secluded country home, according to People magazine.

From then on, Lopez and Affleck have been seen together many times, and in July, they made their relationship Instagram official; Lopez shared a snap of her and Affleck kissing on a boat in the last photo in a set of snaps that she uploaded on her 52nd birthday. Over the past few months, there have been all kinds of rumors about Bennifer 2.0, but while many still wonder if their 2021 love is just a PR stunt, Lopez and Affleck appear to be making big moves behind-the-scenes — literally. In June, E! News reported that Lopez was moving to Los Angeles to be closer to Affleck; she had been living in Miami, Florida, with her two kids, not far from their dad, Marc Anthony.

Now, with September fast approaching, there are even more rumors about what's coming for the couple. Keep reading to find out more.

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez are reportedly thinking about tying the knot

It seems as though Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck could be more serious than some people realize. In fact, a source told Us Weekly that the two are "seriously talking about getting married." The source explained that the two actors are "madly in love and don't want to let one another go this time," and that Affleck considers Lopez the "one that got away."

Following their split back in 2004, both Lopez and Affleck went on to find love with other people; Lopez married Marc Anthony in 2004, and they welcomed twins Max and Emme in 2008. The two separated in 2011, and their divorce was finalized in 2014, according to Insider. Meanwhile, Affleck married Jennifer Garner in 2005, and they had three children together before splitting in 2018.

Us Weekly's source explained that Affleck is "determined to make sure" that he doesn't lose Lopez this time around. The two are supposedly thinking about eloping — and it sounds like it could happen soon. In fact, fans shouldn't be surprised to see a new diamond bauble on Lopez's finger in the coming weeks. According to Page Six, he's already been looking at rings.

Ben Affleck was photographed at Tiffany

On August 23, Ben Affleck was photographed inside Tiffany in Century City, California, according to Page Six. Affleck, who was with his mom, Sam, and son, Samuel, was looking at engagement rings, according to the outlet. Affleck may or may not try to outdo himself if a second engagement happens; he previously proposed with a "6.1-carat pink diamond by Harry Winston that reportedly cost $2.5 million," according to Page Six.

Interestingly, however, Lopez's former publicist Robert Shuter told StyleCaster that she actually still has the ring that Affleck first proposed with. "As far as I know, Jen has never returned the ring. So, if things move forward with these two, gosh, she's already got the most beautiful ring I've seen," he told the outlet back in May. Whether or not that's the case, it appears as though Affleck has rings on his mind — and perhaps he wants to get Lopez something different this time around. The two are both at different places in their lives, after all.
