Celebrity Big Brother Season 3 - Here's What We Can Tell Fans So Far

Ah, "Big Brother: Celebrity Edition"! The competition reality series wherein a gaggle of mostly B, C, and D-list celebrities are thrown into the infamous "Big Brother" house together and participate in various competitions in an effort to secure power over the house and eventually remain the last house guest standing. Think Omarosa Manigault, Brandi Glanville, and Chuck Liddell duking it out until the very end. Sounds dreamy downright scary, right?!

During the inaugural season of the series offshoot, viewers watched as actor Marissa Jaret Winokur eventually took home the W, along with the whopping $250,000 cash prize, per CNN. Comedian Ross Mathews also enjoyed a successful run, finishing the competition as the first runner-up. Though Winokur was mocked for choosing to bring Mathews to the finale with her, but she stuck to her guns. "I'm a 'Big Brother' fan and I know in 'Big Brother' Land, yes, that was the worst move," she confessed. "But in my heart and in my soul -– and in being a mother -– [I wanted] to show [that] if you have a good friend, regardless of what the outcome is, you take your friend," she explained about the risky move.

Who will be in the Celebrity Big Brother Season 3 cast?

Now that we know when the "Big Brother: Celebrity Edition" new season is set to drop, we can now start obsessing about who the new season's cast might include! While we still don't know that answer, we can surmise that it probably won't include any A-listers.

During an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, "Celebrity Big Brother" host Julie Chen Moonves didn't shy away from the type of celebrities the show's casting department pursues. "The magic is always in the casting. It's the same thing whether you're a celebrity or not a celebrity. [Houseguest] Cody [Nickson] this year is an example of someone who was on the cusp that certain people were fighting for [to cast] and other people wanted someone else. It's going to be the same game. The concept is going to be the same. Hopefully it will be household names," Chen divulged.

In short: "We're being realistic. It's not going to be all Oscar winners. But maybe we'll have someone who won an Oscar decades ago," Chen said about the celebrity casting process. At least that narrows things down a little, right?

Will Steve Burns make a comeback on Celebrity Big Brother?

A-list celebs or not, many fans of "Big Brother: Celebrity Edition" have their own ideas as to who they would like to see join the cast and they're not exactly quiet about it. In an Instagram post wherein "Big Brother" announced plans for a Season 3, many viewers of the show took to the comments section to allow their voices to be heard.

One name on the tip of everyone's tongues: the former host of "Blue's Clues," Steve Burns. As you may recall, Burns made headlines yet again when he re-emerged on Nick Jr.'s official Twitter account and finally explained the reason for his untimely exit from the show: He wanted to go to college. Before signing off, he took the opportunity to thank his loyal fanbase for their many years of devotion. "I wanted to tell you that I really couldn't have done all of that without your help and in fact, all the help that you helped me with when we were younger is still helping me today, right now. And that's super cool," Burns said. "I guess I just wanted to say that after all these years, I never forgot you. Ever. And I'm super glad we're still friends."
