Tia Mowry was reportedly snubbed by one of her favorite actors
Being snubbed by your favorite actor is never fun, but that's exactly what happened to Tia Mowry. In 2014, the former child actor told In Touch Weekly that she was snubbed by Charlize Theron during a SoulCycle class. "She wasn't very nice to me," she said to the outlet. "I said, 'Hi,' and she actually rolled her eyes and said, 'Oh my God.' I wasn't over-the-top. I know how to approach another celebrity. Charlize was just mean. I'm just being honest."
Andy Cohen later decided to ask the "Mad Max: Fury Road" star if the claims were true when she appeared on "Watch What Happens Live" in 2017. "What a b**ch," Theron joked about Mowry. "No, I heard this story — did she really say it? Was it just written?" Cohen then clarified that the story originated from a tabloid, to which Theron responded, "Oh, well, you can't go by that, right? I'm really nice at SoulCycle, actually, because once my endorphins kick in ... I'm actually almost too friendly."
After seeing how big the story got, Mowry also cleared the air about her comments, telling E! News in 2017, "I don't know Charlize...It was all blown out of proportion. I respect her. I think she's amazing."
While Mowry may have settled her feud with Theron, it wasn't the last time she was caught in a dispute with a Hollywood starlet.
Tia Mowry feuded with Keke Palmer over her husband
A year after Tia Mowry said Charlize Theron was "mean" to her, she also feuded with former child star Keke Palmer over rumors that the "Hustlers" star was attracted to her husband, actor Cory Hardrict.
According to EnStars, Mowry thought Palmer was getting too close to her husband after Palmer made comments about Hardrict in an interview. "Saying you like married men in interviews [is] not cute...Just saying," Mowry tweeted (and then deleted) at the time, per EnStars. And according to VH1, Mowry was later pictured talking to Palmer at an event, which fueled speculation that they had problems with each other. However, Palmer set the record straight with Wendy Williams and said her words were misconstrued (via The YBF). Hardrict also settled the rumors with Williams.
"I was right there. They were talking about a book deal. Tia just got a book deal. It wasn't none of that. We all cool," Hardrict said about the viral picture of his wife and Palmer in conversation. "Keke like a sister to me. I love my wife to death. I would never jeopardize that. It was funny. We all laughed. We laughed about it. I was like, 'Oh that's crazy.' I don't respond to nonsense."
Since that controversy, Mowry and Hardrict have been busy raising their kids, while Palmer is busy with her career. So, it seems like their feud was much ado about nothing.
