The Teen Mom Star Farrah Abraham Tried To Get Fired

Farrah Abraham has been a ticking time bomb on MTV's "16 and Pregnant" and the spin-off "Teen Mom" ever since she joined the franchise in 2009. The Iowa native was an OG castmate alongside Maci Bookout, Catelynn Lowell, and Amber Portwood. "Teen Mom" followed the lives and struggles of teenage parents.

From plastic surgeries to adult entertainment to a DUI, Farrah was a wildcard. And when "Teen Mom" rebranded into "Teen Mom OG," Farrah was fired from the show, reported Us Weekly. According to executive producer Morgan J. Freeman, Freeman explained to Farrah that if she continued to create adult content, she couldn't stay with the franchise.

But in classic Farrah style, she took it in stride. "I wish them all the best with the show. I'm out on a high note. This is the longest season in history and I'm their biggest star," Farrah told Us Weekly at the time. "I can do my own show, but I don't want to focus on reality TV. I'm focusing on scripted opportunities but will always enjoy a good reality TV project." Because Farrah was out of the show, MTV had to fill her place, and the open role went to Cheyenne Floyd. But Farrah reportedly attempted to have Cheyenne fired from the show.

Farrah Abraham didn't see Cheyenne Floyd as "authentic"

After being fired from "Teen Mom OG," Farrah Abraham went on to bash the newcomers who took her place, most notably Cheyenne Floyd. "No one knows Cheyenne is on the show, let's be real, that is a joke," Farrah told Radar Online's "Teen Mom Time" podcast in 2019, via Hollywood Life. She also called Cheyenne a "super fan" of the franchise, saying, "You can't put super fans on TV shows and think it's authentic."

As for whether Farrah herself was ever coming back to the show, Farrah said on the podcast, "Things must be my way or I don't come back. I don't share my seasons with newbies. I'll come back if it's OG all the way."

But Cheyenne let all the digs from Farrah roll right off her back. She told Hollywood Life she didn't know why Farrah came after her, saying, "It's a little weird, I don't speak on people I don't know."

Where do the Teen Mom stars stand today?

Despite the diss, both Farrah Abraham and Cheyenne Floyd have seemingly moved on in their personal lives and in their careers. Cheyenne is still a star on "Teen Mom OG," and she recently gave birth to a baby boy with her fiance, Zach Davis. The pair are currently planning their wedding. Cheyenne said to E! News in September, "I would say me doing anything small is like sacrilegious so I think people expect us to have a grand, big wedding and we're going to deliver exactly that." She didn't reveal when the wedding will take place but said that it will be sometime in 2022. Here's hoping for a "Teen Mom OG" wedding special!

As for Farrah, she was spotted filming another "Teen Mom" spin-off in September. According to a source who spoke to E! News, Farrah is currently filming with some of her "Teen Mom" co-stars, though the names of the co-stars were not given. The premise of the show holes up MTV stars in a hotel to ignite drama — and Farrah is perfect for that, the source said. "The aim, of course, is to create drama and in-fighting ... so, throwing Farrah into the mix is going to ignite that. There's already been a lot of conflict," the source added.

Both Farrah and Cheyenne are back on MTV — here's hoping their feud was just a blip on the radar.
