Rob Dyrdek Shares Emotional Posts In Memory Of Christopher 'Big Black' Boykin

Less than a day after Christopher "Big Black" Boykin passed away, professional skateboarder Rob Dyrdek has spoken out about his friend and former bodyguard's death.


On May 9, 2017, Dyrdek tweeted out a photo of Boykin and himself on a swing, writing, "My heart is broken. I don't want write this post. I don't want to believe that this is reality. I am so thankful for you."


"We truly were brothers that lived an unexpected unforgettable adventure," Boykin's Rob & Big (2006-08) co-star continued in another post. "I just can't fathom that it would end so suddenly."


"You will forever be in my heart," Dyrdek, 42, added.


Dyrdek also shared a photo of Boykin holding the Ridiculousness (2011-) producer's child. "I am so thankful for this moment," he wrote. "Thank you for being an amazing human being and brother."








MTV also released an official statement (via E! News), commenting on Boykin's sudden death:. "MTV is deeply saddened to learn the news of Christopher 'Big Black' Boykin's passing. He was a long time and beloved member of the MTV family and will be greatly missed. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends at this time."


As Nicki Swift previously reported, Boykin passed away on May 9, 2017. While no official cause has been released, it's suspected that he may have died as a result of a fatal heart attack. Boykin was 45.
