Taylor Swift Reportedly Releasing New Album This Fall

Are you itching for your next Taylor Swift fix? Fear not—the singer-songwriter has been busy at work recording new music!

A source close to Swift revealed to Us Weekly on Wednesday, May 10, 2017 that she has been "trying to keep herself out of the media" until she felt ready to announce her sixth album. Another insider explained the 10-time Grammy winner's recent absence, saying, "Taylor's been quietly recording new music for a couple of months." However, the source noted, "She hasn't been in any of the bigger studios in Nashville, New York, L.A. or London."

As the publication highlighted, Swift must have taken a cue from her best friend Ed Sheeran, who similarly disappeared from the public eye for an entire year before the release of his international hit album Divide. And indeed, the 27-year-old songstress has taken a noticeable break from social media recently. Apart from the release of her Fifty Shades Darker duet with Zayn Malik, "I Don't Wanna Live Forever," and her pre-Super Bowl concert, Swift hasn't been around much since January 2017.

But all of that is likely about to change, as Us Weekly's source added, "She's aiming to release an album this fall."

So, what should fans expect from her upcoming album? Swift, as usual, is keeping her musical plans private. But the source revealed that she is once again ditching her country roots and will instead continue "down the pop route, because 1989 was a huge success and fans really gravitated toward that album." The source further claimed, "She knows there's a demand for a new album and has really started focusing on making that happen for fans. She's just excited to get back out there."

On behalf of all Taylor Swift fans, we can't wait!
