Miley Cyrus Returns To Pop Music With New Single, 'Malibu'

Miley is back!

The former Hannah Montana (2006-11) star released her new pop single, "Malibu," on May 11, 2017—and it's giving us major beach vibes. According to E! News, the song premiered on Zane Lowe's Beats 1 radio show.

But Miley Cyrus, who hasn't released pop track in nearly two years, didn't only debut her new song. The singer also shared a music video for it as well! In the video, Cyrus can be seen dancing in a field, running on the beach with colorful balloons, and sitting near a waterfall. But what's truly worth keeping an eye out for is Cyrus flashing her engagement ring.

Despite her previously stating that the rock her beau, Liam Hemsworth, proposed to her with was "not really [her] aesthetic," Cyrus doesn't seem to have any qualms about wearing it now.

Cyrus and Hemsworth rekindled their romance in January 2016 after calling off their engagement in September 2013. "Of course it was hard, man," Hemsworth, 27, told GQ of their breakup. "But at the time we were going in different directions and it's just what needed to happen. We were both super young and it was a good decision at the time — we both needed that."

Cyrus echoed her fiancé's sentiments in recent interview, explaining their past separation. "I needed to change so much," the 24-year-old told Billboard. "And changing with someone else not changing like that is too hard. Suddenly you're like, 'I don't recognize you anymore.' We had to refall for each other."

Seems like both Cyrus and Hemsworth are on solid ground again—and Cyrus clearly couldn't be happier. After admitting to making some major changes to her life—like getting sober—Cyrus is clearly ready to get back into the pop music scene with the release of her upcoming album.

Cyrus is scheduled to appear at the 2017 Billboard Music Awards for the TV debut of "Malibu" on May 21, 2017 on ABC.
