Kate Middleton's Mom Reveals What Her Grandkids Will Be Enjoying Over The Holiday Season
Just like former "Real Housewives" star Dorinda Medley, Kate Middleton's mom knows how to make it nice!
As the owner and founder of a successful online party supply and decorations business aptly called Party Pieces, there's no doubt that Carole Middleton knows a thing or two about decking the halls with boughs of holly in preparation for the holiday season! In 2018, Carole confessed to The Guardian that she preferred to have as many Christmas trees as possible in her home — including one in her grandchildren's rooms "so that they can decorate it themselves." As the legendary talk show host Oprah Winfrey would say, "You get a Christmas tree, you get a Christmas tree, you get a Christmas tree!"
Fortunately, it doesn't appear that Christmas 2021 will be any less festive for Carole's gaggle of grandchildren (including royal grands Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis) as she has big plans to keep them in the Christmas spirit all season long.
Carole Middleton is decking her halls with gnomes
It appears that royal tykes Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis will be hanging with their gnomies this Christmas season.
On November 27, Carole Middleton revealed on her business' Instagram account that she planned to deck her halls not with boughs of holly this year but rather with a pair of gnomes instead — complete with matching red and white striped outfits, towering red hats, and long scraggly beards. "I'm going to need a few of these cheeky chaps this December, to hide around the house and make my grandchildren laugh," the Instagram post read. "As much as I love immaculate decorations, we can't be too serious at Christmas!" According to Garden Collage magazine, gnomes first became all the rage in England after Sir Charles Isham arrived with a whopping 21 terra cotta gnomes to decorate his landscaping in 1847.
Speaking of immaculate decorations, however, there's still no word yet as to whether or not Queen Elizabeth plans to follow suit and bust out a few gnomes of her own in an effort to not be outdone by Carole.
